Long Pond Ironworks is a historic New Jersey landmark

Long Pond Ironworks is a wonderful place to visit and do a little trail walking in the Highlands Region of Northern New Jersey. Long Pond Ironworks is in the Hewitt area of West Milford, NJ, and is a fun place to hike, explore for it's historic sites, and even a great place do some Geocaching if you enjoy that hobby.

There are scheduled walking tours, candle lantern tours, an annual Shakespeare production, Revolutionary War and Civil War reenactments, and more...you'll find links to more information on this page, and can view the Long Pond Ironworks Facebook page below, which also provides the most current information.

    I just really enjoy ironwork products. I would fill my home with them if I could get away with it. Looks like a great place to visit.

    I do too....much of the iron was used in making things for war, cannonballs and such. I'm sure there's more than that, have to go again and get deeper into the history, was more into the beauty of the hiking trails and the annual Shakespeare event.
