Really? How Short must a Skirt Get before You stop Wearing Clothes?

Which type of skirt do you enjoy wearing? Why? Lately the trend has been to wear longer skirts or Maxi skirts rather than the mini skirts or knee length skirts. I wonder which skirt length is most popular.

I know they say short people should wear shorter skirts to lengthen their look but when you are obese and short, that just doesn't fly. I do not think I wear long skirts specifically to hide the 'bulge' but maybe somewhere in my subconscious the thought is there.

When I was in high school I used to wear skirts just above the knee certainly not the skimpy short skirts of today OR even in the sixties. I figure if I am going to wear a skirt why show off my underwear? I really can not imagine the difficulty people have trying to maintain feminine composure wearing a super mini skirt. If you bend over -- obviously some 'important' parts of you will be revealed.

I do know that the thinner the person is the easier it is for them to wear short skirts but really do you have to go to school to learn how to sit, walk, and bend to wear them?

Am I just a jealous Fatty?

Am I just a bitter overweight Old person or are maxi skirts (even knee length skirts) more appropriate.

Okay guys, it's not fair for you to answer because of course you would love to see more beautiful young ladies wear their skirts like the photo above.

I'm asking girls/ladies/women/moms/girlfriends/grandmas/aunts/sisters people of the FEMALE persuasion but You guys can still play along if you like.

long skirts, they are just more comfortable, and versatile. You can wear them anywhere..and if they are full long skirts, you can still play at the park with your kiddos while wearing one!

I was young in the 1960s and loved the mini skirts but today they are more micro than mini and are just embarrasing. OK I am showing my age and by wearing maxi skirt, NOT showing my varicose veins LOL

I perfer to wear mini skirts, I like to look. God gave me a "nice" set of legs so what is wrong with letting the guys look if they want? Yes you do have to be more careful when sitting and getting in & out of cars. I am tired of the you have to wear longer skirts because you are older.

Definitely a skirt for the young, tall and thin. I can totally see these on Japanese girls [think manga] and on American girls who are trying to look like Japanese girls. Anyone older than 25 should just continue on down the page.

I would not choose this skirt for me but on certain Body types it does look good - not modest by any means unless you add a pair of pants or leggings underneath - but then why wear a micro mini with pants?

    Long skirts give off an elegant vibe. I'm a guy and prefer really long skirts on the ladies.
    Mini skirts are worn in bad taste in most situations, unless its in some form of night club...

    When I was a teenager I wore mini skirts, but they don't compare to some of these really, REALLY short skirts. I vote for modesty, which doesn't exclude style. Good topic!
