They are so cute! I like donkeys too, and have ever since I saw "Nestor, the Long-eared Donkey". I think the donkey represents something special to many of us, even if we are unaware of it.

I am so inspired by lenses who's creators care about animals enough to strive to rescue those in need, whether they be household pets, barnyard animals or critters in the wild. Thank you for such a heartwarming reminder to be kind to our animal friends. Love and Blessings, Daniel.

Great lens and I love the pictures! Really worthwhile charity. My pony was scared of donkeys, it's weird how lots of horses are scared of them!

What a wonderful job you are doing! And you are SO right...careless breeding practices has so badly hurt the donkey AND horse industry; therein lies the REAL problem. Your lens is wonderful, thank you for sharing :o)

As my kids were growing up we had horses, and Donkey Oaty (Don Quixote). He was a great pet, and fun to ride. In fact he "retired" from kiddos to pursue his dream of racing. He showed up regularly at the Big Bear donkey races - there are a lot of wild donkeys in the area descended from those abandoned or escaped from prospectors during the gold rush days.

I understand the local Native Americans had a taste for donkey, the wild ones had to survive that also.

LOL - I would take them all home with me! I think 4 horses and 2 goats is quite enough for me to care for properly, though.

Congratulations! This is such a great cause and you are doing such a wonderful thing for the animals at Longhopes. It breaks my heart to see sad endings for animals that are no longer wanted or needed. Thank goodness there are many kind-hearted and compassionate people like Kathy who are willing to step up and provide a happily ever after. 5 stars for your hard work and this lovely lens!!
