Longines Watches / Buying A Longines Watch
Longines started in 1832 in switzerland and moved to the outskirts of saint imier where they built the first factory. In 1880 they registared the winged hourglass logo. One of the first manufactures of the new style wristwach. In 1910's they started to make not just round watches but shaped watches, one of the first manufactures to do so.
In the 1920's and 30's longines watches featured the new art deco shapes and styles. In 1952 they were the official timekeeper at the winter olympics. They are known for producing thin watches and in 1979 the Feuille d'or modal became the worlds slimmest watch at 1.98mm. In 2001 they produced their 30 millionth watch. Just look at the quality designs and classic syles below which proves they are still producing quality, luxury timepieces.
