My Fantasy Teams
SCHOOL U, 2012
Big Chara just became the captain of my all-star team as he arrived in a trade straight up for Ilya Kovalchuck just a couple weeks ago. It was a pretty nerve racking trade but with this team I'm loaded with wingers and really needed help on D so I went for it. This is not a keeper league and is a standard 10 category set up through Yahoo! sports. Here is my line up:C Eric Staal

Now I've made some of what, in my opinion, are some amazing trades to stack this team up. I'm loving my chances at a second championship in four years in the Pacific Coast League. I brought in Perry and Iginla as mid-season acquisitions just in time for them to finish strong down the stretch. A lot of people considered me nuts taking Daniel Sedin 1st overall but, lets admit it. He's bankable
The Playoff Push
Goligoski, Heatly, Crosby, and more.....
What really excites me about this team is that its strength is just starting to show. I was able to grab notorious second half monsters like Iginla and Perry for players I was considering dropping, namely Lecavalier and some other dude who was so important to my team that I can't even remember who it was. Oh yeah, it was Patrick Elias. Yes, he is having a great year but who do you think will have a stronger finish? That's right, NOT Elias. Players like Heatly and Goligoski are really starting to get going as well. With the Dallas Stars getting Behn, Ribiero, and captain Brendan Morrow back in the lineup, I'm sure to expect a big spike in all categories (G, A, PPP, +-, SOG) from Goligoski. In addition, I've got two dropable players in OEF and Nabokov who are basically just insurance policies for this stacked team. Add in a (healthy) Sidney Crosby just in time for the playoffs (if all goes well) and that'll put this team over the top.

2012 promises to be another great year for NHL playoff hockey as some of the old favorites like the Wings, Bruins, Canucks, and Blackhawks have some serious competition in order to reach the finals again. In the East, Boston will have to contend with the Rangers, Flyers, and even the Devils and Sens have a chance to surprise. The West is stacked as well as favorites like the Wings and Canucks have the Blackhawks right there along with the always strong Sharks and, now, the upstart Nashville Predators and St Louis Blues as well.
