So, you want to lose 10 pounds in 3 days? Certainly you have your reasons for it. Although, there is no guarantee, but here is a plan that I found in FIRST Magazine, June 30, 2008 to help you lose 10 pounds in 3 days. People who love fruit and vegetables and are pretty much satisfied to eat just a small piece of lean meat will love this weight loss plan.

Before starting this diet, please consult a medical professional first!

This fast weight loss diet utilizes a special approach, putting you on a high protein diet for the first day; a method, allowing your body to metabolize fat for energy rather than glycogen (carbohydrates).

Day two and three puts you on a liver cleanse diet. Special nutrients in your diet cleanse your liver of fat storing toxins.

Lose 10 pounds Recipe: Day 1 


  • 1 scoop whey powder (or soy powder, or egg-white powder)

  • 8 oz clean drinking water

  • 6 cups raw-veggie salad

  • 6 oz. lean protein {chicken, turkey, beef or fish}

  • ½ avocado or 2 Tbs. olive oil

  • Juice of ½ lemon or lime



How to do it:

Starting in the morning: Every two hours mix whey powder or any of the other options listed above with 8 oz. water and drink throughout the day.

For dinner treat yourself to a raw vegetable salad, avocado or olive oil, and lean meat of your choice.

Energy density (ED) fruit contain highest volume of water, fiber and enzymes. Best choices fall in the ED range of 0 -0.6.

Lose 10 pounds Recipe: Day 2 and 3 

For breakfast, lunch and in between eat one serving of fresh fruit that falls on the low energy density(ED) scale.

Choose from
Strawberries (.2), raspberries (.3), watermelon (.3), grapefruit (0.3), cantaloupe (.4), honeydew (.4), papaya (.4), peaches (.4), tangerines (.4), oranges (.6), apricots (.5), pineapple (.5), plums (0.6), blueberries (0.6), and apples (.6).

For dinner as in day 1, prepare a raw vegetable salad, avocado or olive oil, and lean meat of your choice.

Follow Up Diet 

To even lose more weight fast here is a sample day of fruit smoothie, fruits, protein, and vegetables.

Breakfast: Combine ½ large papaya or mango, 1 cup blueberries (if you can't get them fresh get them frozen) and ½ cup fresh pineapple; pulse until smooth.

Lunch: Create a plate of fruit. For example, 1 cup of washed and sliced strawberries, 1 peach, 1 plum, 1 cup cherries and watermelon.

Dinner: 1 small chicken breast, grilled. For your plate of leafy greens such as spinach, roman salad, and / or broccoli chop sweet onions, red peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers and avocados. For dessert have berries or another fruit of your choice.

This diet is a good start for healthy long term weight loss. When you are ready to introduce additional foods again you may want to maintain your weight with diet and exercise. blumoondew , That was a very innovative diet plan. In fact I was actually not aware about this diet plan. Thanks for letting me know about it. I have created similar lens a while ago which explains the weight loss methods on how to lose 10 pounds in 1 week or less with all natural methods.
