Here are some general rules to follow when you want to lose weight fast.1. Set a realistic weight loss goal. It is impossible to lose 10 kilograms in 4 weeks, but losing 2-3 kilograms is achievable. Setting a goal too high may set you for failure and discouragement.
2. Fast weight loss comprises a multi-faceted approach combining a healthy diet plan, regular exercise, and perhaps the help of diet supplements in some cases.

5. Drink lots of fluid - at least 8 glasses of water (not Coke, not coffee, not beer!) daily to keep your body refreshed. Because weight loss depends on how the body eliminates waste inside it, it is important your body stay hydrated all the time.
6. Listen to your body. If you are losing weight the right way, your body will feel comfortable about it. For example, if rigorous exercise is not suitable for your body and level of fitness, do other things like brisk-walking, dancing, swimming, etc. Do activities you enjoy doing and that your body can accept, as long as you do it consistently.

- Move, move, move! That means to get yourself physically active. As you move more, you burn more calories. Cut down your TV hours, stay away from the couch as much as you could. Do gardening, or even simple house chores will make your body feel more active and less sluggish. Instead of taking a ride to a nearby shop, walk there. When you are at work, take the stairs instead of the elevator to reach your office.
- Simply sleep well at night and feel revived every morning you wake up. Why? Because according to studies, people who have 4 hours of sleep at night have slower metabolism than those who have 8 hours. Mind you, when you don't get a good night sleep, you are most likely to end up overeating the next day to cover up the lack of sleep. (You'll feel like you need the 'extra' energy from food to keep you alive!)
- Exercise and sweat out a bit, particularly in the evening. There is recent research showing that the our metabolism tends to slow down during late in the afternoon or at the end of the day. So, in order for you to continue to burn calories throughout the day, it is wise to do some exercise (e.g. evening walks) to allow you to sweat it out and burn calories. Moreover, it will help you to sleep better at night, which in turn helps to increase your metabolism.
- Do not skip meals. Because whenever you do, your body would react to it such that it will slow down its metabolic rate.
