It's fast and 100% effective. It only requires a tiny bit of will power. I am not selling you a weight loss programme,slimming pills or fitness equipment! I am merely advocating buckwheat! It has worked for me and everyone who has tried it EVERY single time! Just like for so many of us - my problem is that I love my food too much! I mean all sorts of food,from all over the world, and in big portions. I love my meat (especially fatty meat),pasta,cakes and chocolates.I am Eastern European,my husband is from West Indies - now,how can I keep slim,ha? I have tried every diet under the sun, from Atkins to Pritikin diet. And none of them are as effective and quick as the buckwheat diet. It's a fabulous detox too. As a result I lose weight,my skin is glowing, and I feel so much better and lighter.

Buckwheat and its amazing properties

Despite its name, buckwheat is not a type of wheat, it is not even related to wheat. Buckwheat isn't even a grain; it's the fruit of a plant that's related to rhubarb.

Buckwheat's beneficial effects are due in part to its rich supply of phytochemicals which act as antioxidants.

Buckweat is a great tool for weight loss as it rich in fibre so it fills you up quicker and supresses appetite!

Buckwheat contains more protein than grains and is not deficient in the amino acid lysine as most grains are, so the protein is easily digestive and is close to being complete.

It's an excellent source of magnesium, a boon to your blood pressure.

How to prepare buckwheat

Use roasted buckwheat (dark kernels). It has an intense nutty flavour and can be found in Eastern European shops and all major supermarkets.

The essence of buckwheat diet is to eat only buckwheat for one or two weeks.In order to save all its amazing properties,do not boil but pour with boiling water, cover up and leave overnight.

The quantity of buckwheat is not restricted. It is very substantial, and one glass of buckwheat will be enough for a day. Have it with 1% kefir but no more then 1 liter a day.You can also drink still water.

-no salt,sugar or spices!

After the end of the diet, it is better to have a rest for a month and to eat usual food.
However,don't go back to your old habits! :)

There are no side effects or any other down sides.

Some of you might not be too crazy about its flavour but, hey,it is a diet afterall,and much better than consuming ridiculous amounts of cabbage soup or starving yourself :)

My other tips

- Drink plenty of water! In fact,start your day with a glass of hot water and lemon.

- Do not eat late in the evening

- Portion control (that's my biggest challenge )

- Keep active. Gym is preferable but not a must. Do your housework,walk instead of taking your car when possible and start using the stairs more often.

- Switch to wholegrain

- Cut out sugar and salt. That's right - there is no need for sugar in your tea or coffee!
