Come on, please give it a try...YES...do it!
The reason I wrote this article is because I have actually had success with this particular diet -- Yes, REALLY!I had been on a cruise vacation in the Caribbean. All you can eat anytime (unlimited) included. How could I possibly resist the constant food experience (even the midnight buffet)! I gained an unacceptable amount of weight.
After the 3 day Diet, I had at least a fighting chance to lose more weight. Because for sure you will lose around 10 lbs or so on this diet (depending on your age and BMI to start with of course) if you don't cheat! And hey, don't forget, you get to eat ICE CREAM every day. So anyway, I did lose 10 lbs in 3 days, and I was very encouraged to keep it off. I went on to lose another 10 lbs within a month. That is the reason I strongly wish to promote this really simple yet effective diet.
The theory behind the 3 Day Diet plan is that if you eat a specific mix of foods you will create some kind of chemical reaction in your digestive system, boosting your metabolism and causing the body to burn fat at a quicker rate than usual.
Dieters should remain on the diet program for only 3 days and must take at least a two day break before repeating it. But please don't just get into a pattern like that long term. Read on...
Some people following this weight loss program complain of a very low energy level. Quite simply, there is no magic to this diet plan. Primarily, the 3 day diet plan has a diuretic effect on the body, causing some water weight loss, rather than a lot of fat loss.
Obviously people have different body weights and sizes to start with. So of course not everyone will lose an identical amount. I've read panicky nonsensical reviews about this diet. But, let's face it, psychologically (because of the wonderful immediate impact of 10 pounds lost) it is a great starting point for a REAL sustained long term diet program. The food is good, nothing weird or dangerous, so please get real naysayers. Get a life and stop freaking! Take the time to look at the nutritional analysis I did for you. Sure, the calorie count is very low, and the food is sparse but nevertheless it is a safe short term diet. I personally will guarantee that you will not die from this -OMG-!

So anyway, I myself found it VERY encouraging to see the sudden loss of 10 pounds in only three days, especially just before an event such as a Birthday or Wedding. How terrific to be able to fit into those clothes again!

Bottom line: keep looking for a well-balanced weight loss plan that controls calories every day, includes EXERCISE, and allows a wide variety of healthy foods. To lose weight, (let's be logical please) it is simply not enough to eat a prescribed diet for three days without addressing eating habits formed over a lifetime that cause weight gain.

Three Day Diet Plan
The REAL plan that works. This is it! ----------> PRINT THIS SECTION

First Day
Breakfast
half grapefruit or juice
1 slice of toast (no butter) with 1 tablespoon peanut butter
Lunch
1/2 can of tuna (3oz)
1 slice of toast
Dinner
3 oz. any lean meat (like chicken)
1 cup of green beans
1 cup of carrots
1 cup of vanilla ice cream
1 apple (medium size)
----------------------------------------------------
Second Day
Breakfast
1 egg (boiled or scrambled)
1 slice of toast
half banana (save the other half for dinner)
Lunch
1 cup of cottage cheese or tuna (6oz can)
5 saltine crackers
Dinner
2 beef frankfurters (hot dogs)
1/2 cup of carrots
the other half banana from this morning (eww)!
1 cup of broccoli or cabbage
1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream
----------------------------------------------------
Third Day
Breakfast
5 regular saltine crackers
1 oz.(slice) cheddar cheese
1 apple (medium size)
Lunch
1 hard boiled egg
1 slice of toast
Dinner
1 can of tuna (6oz)
1 cup of carrots
1 cup of cauliflower
1 cup of melon (any type)
1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream

With every meal, black coffee or tea is allowed, but please don't add sugar! You can use artificial sweetener though.
It's also recommended:
Drink four to eight glasses of water daily
Don't add fats when preparing food
Don't skip meals
Condiments Allowed
* lemon (and lots of it, if you like)
* a dash of salt and/or pepper
* mustard
* cooking spray
* artificial sweetener for the coffee or tea
* multivitamin pill
Substitutions
Some people use the following substitutions for the 3 day diet:
* Orange instead of Grapefruit
* Tuna instead of Cottage cheese (and vice-versa)
* Frozen yogurt instead of Ice Cream
* Cauliflower instead of Broccoli (and vice-versa)
* Green beans instead of Broccoli or Cauliflower
* Beets instead of Carrots
* Toast instead of 5 crackers (and vice-versa)

Wow what a great lens! If anyone is looking to chat about exercise, working out, health, fitness, or anything else, these fitness forums ?, are my favorite. It's genuinely one of the best websites if you are looking to track food, plan meals, build workouts, and count calories!

So this is day 3 for me. And it's the first day I'm really feeling super hungry! day one I worked out for 1 hour on the elliptical and worked out my arms. Day 2, I worked out for an hour on elliptical and worked out my legs, each time burning 800 calories alone just on the machine! So this morning I awoke with the worst hunger pains, I couldn't sleep,So now I'm up and drinking tea, but I think I'm going to have a 6 hour energy drink, so I can get through my workout before I eat. I feel really skinny this morning. I cant wait to weigh in tomorrow, I'm hoping for at least 8 pounds, 10 would make me ecstatic! If it works I'm going to do this diet once a week. Ill keep posting.

I tried this diet 2 weeks ago and lost 3 pounds in total...i stuckk to it so 10 lbs i dont think so..but it defo helped to shift some weight. I am just on day one of doing it again. Also the weight did stay off but i have been eating healthy and going to gym. Hope this helps!!

So, I am just starting day 2 of this diet, and I have lost 4 lbs since day 1. I am down to the last 8-10 lbs. to reach my goal weight, so I am curious to see if this diet will do the trick. I have done the South Beach Diet which has been great, as long as I don't brake down and grasping for every carb you see! I fing this 3 day diet a much easier than the 2 week detox stage of the South Beach Diet...AND it should yield the same results! I will keep you posted after I finish day 3. Thanks for the site!
