To lose belly fat fast you need to work your main muscle groups this is the fastest way I know to increase your metabolism for optimal fatburning.  The goal of your training program should be to enable you to reach your body' potential, and maintain and strengthen the most essential and functional muscle groups.  What we're looking for here is functional strength. This is how you get a lean muscular body one without unnecessary bulk.  Hitting the weight room twice a week for an hour can help prevent or at least slow "middle-aged spread."

With that said, if you don't follow a healthy diet all the exercise in the world won't help.  So here are few suggestions or tweaks if you will that should get you going.

1.       Don't cut to much fat. It might seem like the thing to do, but could ultimately harm you.  In research conducted at Harvard University Medical School, subjects on a low-calorie, moderate-fat weight -loss diet were able to stay with the program longer and adhere to it more closely than those who cut fat out altogether.

2.       Drink more water.  This has been said by many health enthusiasts and rightly so.  Typically the recommended amount is eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day.  Drinking water is good for maintaining overall health and ensuring optimal performance.

3.       Avoid carbonated beverages.  If you want to lose belly fat fast, this should be one of the first things to banish from you diet.  The average soda contains about 25 teaspoons of sugar, hardly what you need if your trying to get that six-pack.

4.       Replace starches with vegetables.  I don't mean to totally cut out all starches though try cutting in half your usual portions of rice, potatoes.  these tips should get you started down the road to losing those pounds around your middle.

I'm not talking about just any kind of workout though, what i'm talking about is the kind of workout that is specifically designed to induce tremendous fat burning.

3. The best kind of of workout I know of is multi-joint exercises where you use the largest muscle groups in the body. i.e. chest, legs, back. This is on of the secrets to rapid fat reduction. Combine this with weight bearing exercises and you have an almost unstopable recipe for removing belly fat

4. The goal of your training program should be to enable you to reach your bodies potential and maintain and strengthen the most essential and functional muscle groups. What we're lookinf for her is functional strength. This is how you get a lean and muscular body one without unnecessary bulk.

On that note here is a little secret: when you do your workouts try to do them first thing in the morning on an empty stomach doing this can stoke a fat burning inferno that can last all day.
