Lose Weight At Work Welcome !

Lose weight at work is a site i've decided to make to help me keep motivated to lose weight. I've decided to take advantage of the free time I have a work during lunch hours and breaks to help me achive my wieght loss goals. Here I hope to record and track my wieght loss progress.

How do you lose weight at work

My employer has implemented a new program focused to helping get its employess in better shape by losing weight, exercising and offering incentives to do both. While I'd like to think their only motivation was for my health and welfare, I'm sure the hidden motivation is to save money by reducing absence due to illness, workplace injuries and lower insurance rates. They have created a new section on our internal company website with all kinds of weight loss tips and advise as well as exercise we can do at work to help get us in shape.

I'm an IT worker and must admint I'm not an overly active person, I'm overweight and definately out of shape. I've taken some of the advise and started spending my lunch hours walking around the factory floor. They just put in an area marked off where all can walk laps during lunch an breaks.

In addition, they have added a scale in each of the restrooms where we can track our wieght loss progress. Some of the women in the office have gotten together and created an in office biggest loser contest. I think I'll track my wieght loss in the privacy of my own cube. I personally don't think I need to share my weight loss other or feel pressured to meet some goals set forth in a weight loss contest.
