The Best Way To Lose Weight
I first started dieting about ten years ago. After many years of what I now recognise as bad eating habits I acknowledged the need to change my diet if I was going to weigh less.
And if you are overweight, as I was, you too can do something about your weight All that's needed is a bit of self analysis and a good lokk at your current eating habits.
Everyone's health is important so it's best to seek medical advice before considering any weight loss or exercise program, just for peace of mind.
My weight loss plan was mainly common sense and my diet plan was, and still is, of my own making. It has worked for me, in the long term, and that's what counts.
I have managed to change my eating habits by a little re-education and now I eat a balanced and healthy diet which has stood the test of time and just works. I am comfortable with it.
I recommend this weight loss plan to you. It has suited me and I consider it to be the best way to lose weight because I didn't have to follow lots of rigid diet rules, but I did find I had to be well motivated to lose weight and I had to change my eating habits.
Exercise is the other key variable you need to lose weight, but I already exercised before dieting, but found it much easier and comfortable to exercise carrying less weight.
How to lose weight quickly
Losing weight the easy way
These days people tend to want to lose weight fast. I'm not saying my way of losing weight is the fastest but I have found it manageable and one in which I have'nt had to follow diet menus.
A weight loss diet should be pleasurable and not a chore to be rid of as soon as possible.
Losing weight this way has worked for me and it can for you too.
- Start eating smaller portions of food and use smaller plate sizes
No sugar in tea and coffee. No added sugar on foods, period.
No fizzy drinks. Ginger beer was my favorite drink. Unfortunately, it's full of sugar.
Once you lose you sweet tooth it's quite easy to keep off it altogether.
No full fat milk. I changed to semi skimmed milk.
Cut back, or better still, cut out altogether all cakes, chocolates and biscuits. If this sounds a bit drastic, just ask yourself if you are serious about losing weight, or not.
No binging. None at all.No exceptions. There's no point as you'll only regret it afterwards.
Take more exercise. I like running and walking. As the weight comes off, taking exercise will become really enjoyable and not the chore which it is initially.
Don't over exercise. Just a little and often, to start with.
Learn to listen to your body, especially when it says 'I've had enough to eat'.
Eat slowly. take your time.
Eat small portions.
Keep your fluid levels up by drinking plenty of water.
Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. I have some of these every day. It will help you stay healthy.
If you're an active person, as I am, go for the natural carbohydrate foods, the energy foods like potatoes and bananas, etc.
Remember that to lose weight all you have to do is burn off more calories than you take into your body. It's as simple as that.
There are voluminous books on dieting that are enough to put anyone off contemplating dieting for good.
I didn't use a diet plan or go to weight watchers or follow any kind of structured regime.
All you need is a basic understanding of how your body works and eat sensibly.
I have not only lost weight, but kept it off

Alcohol is a no no. It can create a false hunger which will make you eat for the sake of it.
