Lossless ROCKS! - MP3's SUCK!...
Lossless Audio vs MP3 CODEC
If you archive audio, stream music from a central juke-box server or need to go portable with your audio...
Lossless is KING !
Hands down. It's a no brainer! When it comes to music / audio fidelity the least amount of processing or manipulation to the original signal the better. Compression, conversion, resampling, etc. all can lead to a degradation in signal quality and music fidelity.
Lossless compression, as it's name implies, does not sacrifice any signal fidelity. All the quality of the original music / audio signal is retained. True high fidelity from a smaller file!
If, on the other hand:
All you care about is small file size...
You have a tin ear... and...
You can't tell the difference between a Ferrari and a Fiat...

Then MP3s will suit your tone deaf, unrefined monkeybrain tastes just fine.
I'm guessing you're probably 20 something (or younger) have a ton of crappy MP3s (and backdoor trojans / worms) that you've grabbed using Limewire, eDonkey, Kazaa (or similar file sharing app) from another like minded fool with a virus laden, piece of sh!t, P2P box...
How did I know that? (your parents call me with their PC woes)
MP3s are for tone deaf kids listening to ring tones on cell phones!
YOUR TURN! Do You Agree? Is Lossless King?
Are MP3s for tone deaf kids listening to ring tones on cell phones?
Do you favor lossless audio, or do you feel mp3's are just fine, thank you very much...
Flame-On MonkeyASS... But before you do -
I suggest you investigate the merits of lossless audio. You can start by looking over this lens / page.

Creating Lossless Audio Files
for FREE no less...
With the right tools you can make any number of unlimited personal use music files archived using lossless audio compression.
All you need is a computer with a CD/DVD (player/extractor) drive and properly configured software installed.
When I make lossless audio files I rip (to FLAC) using EAC with Plextor CD/DVD drives.
For PC playback I use foobar2000, M-Audio Sound cards, Harmon/Kardon Amplifiers and dlk speakers.
I have used & recommend the following (*) software:

CD rippers that yield lossless audio files
