- Very informative lens! microchip is a way to find a lost pet, posting in Feed stores, grocery stores, even at church...some towns have free lost listings in they shopping news. I can't even tell you how heart broken I was when I lost a cat, not knowing it's fate is hard to take....

- I am in the habit of returning lost dogs to their homes. I once saw a Chihuahua on our busy street and followed it (it would not let me approach) for about 30 minutes until I was satisfied it had found its home. It thought I was very strange for following it ;)

- I lost one dog once. My brother and I felt very sad. A few days after my dog lost, we found her dogskin in our neibour's house. My brother felt so angry that he even wanted to beat the man. .... My daddy finally stopped the idea of my brother. I think if everyone cares more about pets and do not eat or mistreat them, we will not need to worry again in the future.

- I lost my cat Rico 2 wks ago and can barely stand the thought of him being scared and hungry and wondering where I am. We have been together since he was 3 wks old and someone pulled him from a dumpster and handed him to me. He is now 9 and just really really missed. I have done the posters and the animal shelters and still really feel lost. This site is giving me that place to talk about how hard it really is. The same wk I had to put my 18 yr old kitty to sleep. Both of my best friends in one wk. Really unbelieveable.
Thanks for being here.

- I lost one cat. I think he went off into the woods to die, and was never seen again. I've had many pets that have died, and each time it is heart breaking to go through. They are all buried on my own land near my garden, awaiting resurrection day. See my lens> DoAnimalsGoToHeaven.

- Thank you for creating such a meaningful lens -- it's nice to find such a lens especially since I am such a pet lover. With all the ferals out back, when one disappears, we are saddened as there seems not much to do about it!

- What a thoughtful idea for a lens! You are doing a lovely service and improving the world a bit. So nice. Hi from another Adopt a Pet Group member :-).
One of my animal lenses is "Charity Fund Raising Page for the Humane Society"
Please Help Dogs and Cats Right Now! This lens is to help the Humane Society help animals and to raise awareness about the wonderful animals for adoption at local shelters. We got both our dogs there!

- I think it is great that you created this page. I have lost pets before and it is a horrible feeling. Thankfully I got them back within a few days after posting up signs. Thankfully the neighborhood was friendly.

- I can't image the pain of losing a pet. We have our oldest one micro-chipped, but I always worry that someone wouldn't think to check him for a chip and we wouldn't get him back. Course, if he tears up the trash again, I might let you keep him. :-) But that's another issue. Great job, Janet!

- I lost a cat years ago -- he was the kind that always darted out the door. I live in Orange County -- too many people don't realize there are coyotes everywhere and they'll eat strays! I knew but couldn't find him in time.
If you lose a pet, try calling your shelter and buying a humane animal trap!

- Our Pekingese, Toy was lost back in 2003. We put up flyers in the neighborhood, faxed every vet in a 20 mile radius her picture and put an ad in the newspaper...nothing. In 2005 we received a call from ARP in IA, a rescue group. They had our dog. She was identified by her microchip!

- I have lost a pet, which was heartbreaking, very upsetting and we never found her. Sometimes being upset prevents a person from thinking clearly about the best things to do to find a pet. In such a time, this lens is very helpful! Thanks for your concern for all pet owners!
