I Love Polka Dot Socks!
Years ago I managed a laboratory in a walk-in clinic. The dress code was strict. Nurses and lab techs wore white-white uniforms and white shoes. I don't mind white, but wearing white day after day got to me. I wanted to wear some color. As a faithful "yes-sir" employee I wasn't about to ignore the dress code. My boss was stickler for the rules. They were forged in iron and not meant to be broken (or even bent.)
The dress code said white uniforms and shoes. Now some would assume that included socks. I've been known to bend a rule now and then, but for once in my life I was following the rules to the letter.
Red Socks Green Socks, striped and polka dot... I had them all. I started a trend... made a fashion statement.
I no longer wear a uniform to work, but my collection of socks continues to grow.

The Holidays are coming soon so I need to give my wardrobe some serious thought. I could use a new purse, but when it comes between one new purse and a dozen pairs of socks, I'm going with the socks. My purse ends up in a drawer all day, but I can always show off my socks!
