Lotto's a Pool of Chance, Take the Plunge!

The Lottery: More than Just Numbers

Most people refer to playing the lottery as a "game of chance", however, it doesn't have to mean you simply guess your numbers and nervously wait for the air-ball popping numbers to randomly draw. There are systematic ways to target definite numbers. This methodological technique takes skill but once mastered, you will be one step closer to winning the jackpot. The first step is to forget some of what you learned in math class. We are trained to group and read numbers as a whole; when in fact, seeing numbers in isolation may work more to your advantage when playing lotto. If you consider lotto's randomness as a language and not simply math, you will find the results mind boggling. If you look at past lotto numbers (most lottery websites have a history page) you will note the huge chunky row of numbers that seem endless. Most major lotteries consist of five inside numbers and a bonus ball (Mega Millions, Powerball). If you take a deeper look at the numbers you will realize that each number means much more than you can imagine. Each number represents a code to the next game. The code fills in the blanks to a major puzzle that in fact relates to all the mini lotteries that play in each state (pick three, four, cash fives). For example, consider the smaller scale lotteries such as pick three, four, cash five, Fantasy Five, Sweet Milliion. These mini lotteries consist of three to six numbers. If you study how these numbers are played before and after major lotteries, you will notice a trend of similar numbers repeating. The sum of these numbers also provide interesting clues. The key is to rely on the range, sums and repetitive numbers that play in your local, current mini lotteries.

Some Believe There's A Pattern

Lottery Winner Admits to a Pattern

Some lottery winners acknowledge a pattern to the lottery. Hey, if this is true, that's a big deal! It's actually convincing when some winners have actually won more than once. One Mega Millions winner mentioned he often plays with his family. The first time he won $250,000. matching the first five numbers minus the bonus megaball. However, the very next game, he won the million dollar jackpot matching all six numbers. Clearly it wasn't coincidental for this winner to happen to match the numbers twice in a row; when the odds of matching all five numbers and the ball are 1 in 175,711,536. The winner said he found a pattern and was reluctant to elaborate on what it was. Can you blame him? How many people do you know would want to share their lottery secrets with no strings attached? It actually seems taboo to share your lucky numbers with someone else. Some feel it's bad luck and the lucky numbers, once out in the open, are less likely to match on the draw date. Is this for real? No matter how ridiculous you may think this sounds, lottery players take their numbers very seriously.
If you carefully analyze the lotto, you would notice patterns come and go. By the time you recognize a pattern, in some instances, it changes before the next draw. This is why record keeping is essential. Keep a notebook tracking which patterns will most likely continue and which ones fade after a few cycles. Most patterns phase out after the second draw. However, it is guaranteed to pick up again after a few draws.
Most states play the lottery simultaneously, therefore it is hard to tell if the pattern you have found is for the lottery you are playing. The bottom line is if you study your lotto, look at the past history, know when patterns start during the month and end before the new month, you will select the best combination for the new draw.

A Sneak Peak At A Few Patterns

The Latest e-book Breakthrough the Lottery Shares it All

I have had my fair share of people trying to explain how they have the secret to the lottery, just purchase the software and how about buy this expensive book. I am fed up of the gimmicks. I have searched for someone to show me where and how to look for patterns on my own. I wanted to master finding patterns so that I can apply them to any lottery. Well, I was able to research a volume of techniques and demonstrate them all in my new e-book called Breakthrough the Lottery. The focus is on major lotteries such as Mega Millions and Powerball. This book offers quick tips, easy examples and guides you to selecting the best lotto combinations. What I like about this book is how precise it is. I am totally honest and I am not claiming anything that seems too good to be true. If you are interested in getting the tools to apply them yourself, then this is the e-book for you. This e-book is a guide to train you to see the lotto differently. For example, the number 15 can be looked at in a variety of ways. 15 can equal 4,5,6,or 51 by adding, subtracting, multiplying the numbers or seeing it in reverse. You can look at all of your lotto numbers in this way to find a pattern. Now, that is a simple trick that helped me to get at least two to three numbers in some combinations. Another technique I learned is to look at the dates and compare them. When you calculate the dates by month, date and year, you will find a pattern exists in almost every drawing. Those are just two of the patterns that changed my outlook. The book gives you every possible strategy and it helps to, again, train your eyes to seeing the numbers differently. Once you learn this strategy you will be learning to organize the same type of combinations computers generate. The book costs about $10.00 and it will be posted soon.

Where Does Your Loyalty Lie?

Think about this scenario. You want to win the Mega Millions jackpot. The jackpot is over 300 million dollars. You decided to look at the previous Mega Millions drawings and came up with a combination for the new drawing. You are convinced that you have the winning combination. Your friend also plays Mega Millions and has been talking about winning the jackpot but doesn't have a clue as to what the winning numbers could be. Your friend asks you what numbers you plan on playing.

How Honest Are You?

What would you do? You go to the store and play your lotto numbers. On your way out you discover a lotto ticket on the floor. There was no one around so you picked up the ticket. The same night the lottery drew and matched all six of the numbers on the ticket you found. The next day the store owner reported someone loosing their winning ticket after purchasing it from their store.

Why all the Graphs and Lotto Software?

Understanding How Your Lotto Distributes Numbers

Lotto is a money making business; and not just because so many hundreds of thousands of people play on a daily and weekly basis, but because all states make interest on your lotto money. Therefore, it is not surprising to see so many wanting to get in on the action by selling software that claims to pick the winning numbers. And what is the difference between software and simply getting a quick pick? I'm not certain, but I sure would like to know. However, I have come across some websites that have posted extensive research on how your lotto numbers are distributed. I agree that if you spend more than 20% of your time playing lotto, you should be knowledgeable about what factors could affect your numbers. My only complaint is that some of these charts may be difficult to understand and in that case I would prefer simpler language. How about just write it out and show me some examples? If following graphs and charts are confusing for you, using lotto software that can tally the numbers for you will work best. The graph research I have seen examines the winners, their selection of numbers, the number of balls in certain games, numbers that frequently play compared to numbers that hardly play, and the results in comparison with the odds. The information is quite interesting and kudos to anyone who would prepare such detailed information!

Software that Does All the Work

Each lottery winner has a different style of obtaining their lottery numbers. Some prefer learning the strategies on their own and some simply want it generated automatically without all of the fuss. Purchasing software may come in handy for some. Below are a few that live up to their names.

Are you a Serious Lottery Player?

I Promise To Throw All of My Lotto Tickets Away!

Keeping Tickets, A Concern or Just Funny

Someone did this with their old lotto tickets. See more on weburbanist.com.

"Okay, I'm throwing all of my lotto tickets away...I promise!" is what I told my husband when he passes the pile of tickets near my nightstand. What is it about keeping all of your lotto tickets? Am I the only one that does this? Actually, every time I hear a story about a serious lottery player, they are always described as the person who carries around THE LOTTO BOOK. Am I that person? Oh, no! I check the latest drawings as soon as the numbers are posted, I eagerly claim my winnings and keep the loosers in a shoe box. I do have a reason behind this chaos. Sometimes I will find a pattern, play my numbers and it doesn't draw until the next game. Some patterns give me future numbers, so I have to replay them and know what I played. Okay, if you are not a serious lottery player, you may not quite get what I mean, but it's just hard for me to let go. And, since we are on the topic of confessing, I also have a large black and white notebook I keep all of my past and predicted future lottery numbers and strategies in. You may see me in my car, waiting to pick up my kids, working on my numbers to pass the time. It never leaves my over-sized purse. Well, today, all the tickets go away...I just need a little more time to dump the notebooks.

Mathematical Geniuses

The Lotto Makes So Much More Sense

Albert Einstein created the Theory of Relativity, principles like simultaneity and the relationships between energy masses.
Issac Newton developed Calculus and helped us to better understand the gravitational force. The game of lotto applies both of these mathematical geniuses' theory. They remind us that the outcome of the new draw is in response to various relating factors such as the ball shapes, weight, amount of balls in one area, the calculated pressure that moves the ball, the gravitational force that pulls it up the tubes, perhaps the seconds it takes to rotate the balls in its space and the order of the balls placed from its last drawing. We could take it a step further and say the temperature of the balls may somehow influence the new draw.

A New Lottery Game called Decades of Dollars

Is it Worth It?

A new lottery game is coming to town on February 3, 2011, in states like Kentucky, Georgia and Virginia. The game costs two dollars to play and offers better odds of winning. The odds are 1 in 10,737,573 as compared to Powerball's 1 in 195,249,054 and Mega's 1 in 175,711,536 chance. The game seems similar to Win For Life whereas you can win an allotted amount for a lengthy time. The difference is, Win For Life guarantees $1,000 a week for life and Decades of Dollars offers $250,000 for 30 years or a one time cash option of four million dollars. In Kentucky, Decades of Dollars will replace the Win For Life Game. However, the odds of winning Win For Life is much greater than all three of the games (Powerball, Mega Millions and Dollars of Decades). The odds of winning Win For Life are 1 in 5,245,786. All of the other games have a free ball or bonus ball but Decades of Dollars doesn't; so this doesn't add to or take away from the jackpot amount (you just have to match all six numbers). The numbers only go up to 47, which also adds to the theory of a greater chance to win. So, in all, the game seems like a easier game, compared to Powerball and Mega Millions, but two dollars twice a week for one combination can really break the bank for some lottery players (drawings are Mondays and Thursdays). I would suggest you wait a few draws to study the patterns before playing. And I can't stress this enough, focus and choose the game you want to play. I have seen too many people fall into the trap of playing all of the games and not coming close to winning as opposed to playing one game, mastering it and matching some numbers if not all.

A Million Dollar Make Over

Did you know? Lottery Facts

The odds of someone winning the lottery twice in four months is about one trillion. Joan R. Ginther, a native of Bishop, won the lottery from Texas four times (source: www.factsurf.com).

The state in the east with the most lottery winners for Powerball is Pennsylvania with 12 winners; and Mega Millions with 22 winners from New York (source: www.answerbag.com).

Most lottery players have a lotto lingo. For example, go up and down means they think one number is coming but they are not sure if the number will be a plus or minus on their number. Another one is when they say they think the tens are coming. This means the numbers in a combination may appear in tens such as ten, twenty, thirty, forty or fifty. The same applies for doubles. This means they believe numbers such as twenty-two, thirty-three, forty-four or fifty-five may appear. Each community of lottery players create their own lingo that is commonly understood between the advanced players.

Lump Sum Vs. Annual Payments

When some consider winning the lottery they often think about which option would be the best. The answer depends on a variety of factors. For example, if you are younger in age, the annual payments may work for you. If you want to be on a budget each month, the annual payments is also a great option; and if you want to avoid being taxed at the highest rate take the annual payments. On the other hand, taking a lump sum payment may mean the federal government is going to tax you at 25% and depending on your state add another % for state taxes. For example, if you live in New Jersey, lottery tax is 3%, VA state tax is 4%, GA state tax is 6% and NY state tax is 8.9%; and wow are you lucky if you live in California. There are no state taxes when winning the lottery in CA. If you decide to take the lump sum, you can also invest a large portion of your money, and build interest on it to make up for the large sum of taxes that will immediately be taken out. So, it all boils down to not how much you have, but how you will make your money work for you.

Relax...You Have Already Won!

Have you ever planned to win the lottery and actually won? Well, many people have. In fact, if you ask some lottery winners what was their secret, some have said they knew they were going to win even before the balls drew. What separates those people from the rest? Well, part of the answer has a lot to do with their energy. Winners don't have sweaty palms or go through anxiety attacks before the lotto numbers draw because they know they have already won. It was proven more useful to channel their energy to planning how they would spend their winnings after they won. The concept makes sense, in essence, if they focused their energy on wanting and hoping to win the lottery, their mental state is that their goal is not yet achieved. How about accepting the jackpot is yours! Your thought process now becomes, how am I going to spend all of this money? To envision, smell, taste and plan for the next phase of what you already have (your ultimate dream) makes your goal a reality. One lottery winner went home to her husband and he was jumping for joy, telling her the numbers she played drew. The lottery winner replied simply stating, I know. You see, there is no need to be surprised for something that is already yours. Another winner stated she put the amount she wanted to win under her pillow and casually went to play. When her numbers matched exactly, she realized it was the same jackpot amount she had under her pillow.

Finally, Breaking the Code

Your Odds of Winning are Better than You Think

Playing the lottery is truly a game of chances, however, what if your odds of winning were much greater than the random quick pick numbers lottery retailers generate from their lottery machines. Sure there is a chance you can win from common numbers like birthdays and special dates, but if those numbers are not next in line to play, then what are the chances those numbers will play; in a recent drawing and in the same combination? Very slim! In fact, you may wait months or years before all of your favorite numbers play in one combination.
There are endless possibilities of numbers that can form a single combination and that is why the lottery is considered random. While studying the lottery I had to ask myself, what is the probability of one number playing over another? I have learned to master the art of looking at numbers, patterns, and their relationships in a non-traditional way and making it easier to understand the mathematical language used to create logical lottery combinations. Although the lottery is said to be random, there is a pattern within it randomness.
If you are serious about winning the lottery, this e-book will guide you to making wiser number selections, show you how to understand previous drawings and parallel their relationships with future drawings, and highlight the significance of putting the right combinations together. My goal is to provide you with analytical tools to ensure you are successful at increasing your chances; to assist you in making money every time you play, getting one step closer than a simple quick pick and finally hitting the jackpot. Most people have played the lottery at least once in their life, so if you're going to play, why not be equipped to play. My new e-book Breakthrough the Lottery will be available soon.
