Lottso! Gameplay Tips and Strategies

Lottso! is a fast paced multi-player game, one of the most popular at Club Pogo. The basic object is to match the numbered balls with the empty spaces on your playing cards.

Each game of Lottso! is played during ten timed rounds. During each round, every player is given six randomly selected numbered balls. Each player also has six different game cards. The object is to try to match as many of your numbered balls to the open spaces on your score cards.

Once all of the numbers on one of your scorecards has been covered, the card turns over to reveal a "scratcher" or bonus points. Lottso! has several different cards you can be dealt. Some are like lottery scratch tickets while others automatically award you bonuses.

At the end of every round, your score is calculated and your current score is shown with everybody else's score. Every player in the game room that scores more than 3000 points gets a jackpot spin. At the end of ten rounds, the player with the highest score wins the game.

Playing Lottso! is fairly simple. During each round, your object is to place the numbered balls on the matching empty numbered spaces on your playing cards. When you fill the playing card, it will turn over. If it reveals a scratch ticket, click on it to reveal your prize. You do need some strategy because often a numbered ball can be placed in more than one empty spot in one of your playing cards. It's up to you to decide the best place to put it.

When you first start playing Lottso!, you'll want to get familiar with the different types of cards you will be given. There are many different types of cards and learning what each one does will help you to develop a strategy. To activate a playing card, you must first fill every numbers space on that card.

Star balls are wild, they can be placed on any empty space on any of your playing cards. Some playing cards will have a space marked "free". These spaces will take any numbered ball.

When you activate a card, it will flip over and reveal either a bonus score or prize boxes that you have to match. If you don't scratch the prize boxes before the timer runs out, it will remain active during the next playing round.

During rounds 6, 7 and 8, one of your playing cards will have a green animated border around it. This is your bonus card. If you activate and scratch the prize boxes while it is the bonus card, you'll score 2x the normal value of that card. During rounds 9 and 10, you will score 3x the points value!

You will score 5 Points for each number ball you can place, 25 Points for each star ball. If you can place all of your number balls, you will score 50 Bonus Points.

As a general rule of thumb, the greater the number spaces on the face of the card, the higher the potential payout of the card will be. The border color will also indicate the expected payout range; black = low, silver = middle and gold = high. However, an element of chance affects the score you ultimately receive.

Lottso! has several different games cards that you may receive.

Scratch Cards

Scratch cards have six scratch boxes. Five boxes have prize amounts and one has a spoiler. You keep scratching the boxes until you reveal the spoiler. You get to keep all the points you get before finding the spoiler.

Match Cards

Match cards have six scratch boxes. You scratch the boxes until you reveal two matching prize amounts. You get to keep that amount of points.

Charity Cards

The player who scores the lowest in a round is called the charity person. When you scratch a prize box on a charity card, half of the amount revealed will be given to you and half will be given to the charity person.

Lottso! Cards

Lottso cards work like a progressive jackpot. For every round that the Lottso card isn't activated by somebody, the point value of the card will increase. Active the Lottso card and you will receive the point value shown on the card.

Team Lottso! Cards

The Team Lottso! card is a community card. For every player who activates this card in a round, the point value of the card will increase by 50 points. Everybody who activates the Team Lottso! card in a round will receive the total points value shown.

Fire Cards

This is the only card you do not want to see. It will stay active for three rounds. After three rounds, it will burst into flames and burn every card beneath it. You want to try and activate all the cards beneath this card before you lose them.

Super Lottso! cards

The Super Lottso card is a rare occurrence. It appears when a player can clear all three cards from a column in one turn. The Super Lottso card is the size of three regular game cards. The front of the Super Lottso card has 12 number spaces, so it is hard to activate, particularly late in the game. However, the backside contains a mega-scratch game - where big point bonuses can be scored.

• Dragging and dropping balls (rather than clicking on the matching card space) will provide more control over which number balls are selected for use in the case of star ball or free space.


• Place all your number balls before using the star ball or free spaces.


• Focus on activating the higher value cards first.


• Don't waste a star ball by placing it on a free space.


• Place all your number balls before clicking on any prize boxes.


• Wait until the end of the round to activate the Lottso card to minimize the number of claim-jumpers.


• If you see that "Lottso has been called" in the display screen, you can still score the number of points showing by activating the card - the next round it will reset.


• You can activate more than one team card in the same round. Each card is worth the full amount of the Team Lottso bonus.
