Welcome!

Hello! Welcome to LME's Squidoo Lens! Here you will find some info about my shop and items, links to books I used to get started soldering, and other fun stuff!

At Lotus MiraGe Ephemera I sell handcrafted jewelry and art, composed of found items, vintage artwork and images, and other ephemera. I specialize in soldered art; all of my soldered items are lovingly hand-soldered with lead-free solder.

Everything in my store is hand-made by me, LotusMira/Anne. For more information about me, visit: http://www.etsy.com/people/LotusMira. If you ever have any questions or concerns about my items, my shop, or your order, please feel free to convo me on Etsy or email me at lotusmira@lotusmira.com! :)

~*~ My Projects ~*~
Most of my current projects involve working with solder. I love vintage imagery, found items, and ephemera. I also really enjoy the steampunk aesthetic. (I'm a big fan of horror movies, horror novels, and horror games and love to make stuff inspired by these!) I think there is a lot of value both in the artistic chaos of collage, as well as in the simple beauty of something classic.

~*~ What's In A Name? ~*~
The name LotusMira is one I have been using for many years. Mira (pronounced "meera"), from the Sanskrit root meaning "prosperous," (one can hope!) is my Indian/Bengali grandmother's first name. Also, I have always loved the symbolism of the lotus in Indian spiritual traditions. I have also been using the name MiraGe for a very long time, Mira being a family name and "G" being the first letter of my last name.
