Golfers knew about them from out-there character John Daly. But now thanks to the Norwegian Olympic curling team, everyone has had a peek at Loud Mouth golf pants.

Yes, those crazy red and blue argyle pants the Norwegian team was wearing as their team uniform during the 2010 Olympic games in Vancouver? Those were golf pants.

And, well, they were quite the hit. (With everyone but sport officials, that is.) The pants have their own Facebook fan page and were the talk of the games!

There is some talk about amending the rules for curling to keep such nutty pants from showing up again as part of an official uniform. Really? The pants attracted a lot of attention for a sport that no one understands and isn't that exciting. To me, they're just great fun and no harm done.

Taking Care of Your LoudMouth Apparel

Want to keep those brights bright

The LoudMouth printed and striped pants and shorts are made out of what the company calls summer poplin - a blend of cotton and spandex. (Yeah for stretchy cotton!) The plaid and patchwork ones (like the margarita pattern shown here) are 100% cotton (also cool).

Everything's machine washable, although with all that cotton, ya gotta watch out for shrinkage. The company actually recommends line drying them. Or just buy with the plan for shrinking. They say they'll shrink about half an inch in the waist and an inch in length if you put them in the dryer. So me, I'd be going just a smidge bigger for the convenience of dryer use rather than clotheslining it.

    Daly lights up golf apart from his huge driving, the pants are fantastic. Please do not ban these awesome pants.

    Men rarely get the chance to be a little silly with their clothing. These are wonderful. Not your daddy's golf pants. Very modern and fun.
