I remember watching Louise Brooks when I was a kid like 9 or 10. . . my grandma was a huge movie fan and we'd watch old silent films together. I remeber being totally captivated by this woman with coal black hair and a strange haircut. She seemed like she just popped through the screen. Her eyes bored their way into my soul and I fell in love for the first time.
