OK, I admit that this isn't my picture above. Years ago, when I was fresh out of library school, I worked in a public library in Maryland. The handsome son of one of my co-workers often dropped by to pick his mom up after work. The few comments we exchanged were not witty banter, by any means. Eventually we overcame our shyness of each other and moved into the dating stage. Love bloomed and about a year later, we got married. Maybe if I'd worn black silk stockings like the librarian in the picture, our romance might have moved along faster.
