Love Information Technology

Ranked #9,750 in Internet, #400,199 overall

The fascinating world of Information Technology is nothing to be afraid of but should be embraced. Actually those who fear the fast paced I.T. world have no other choice but to acquiesce because it is here to stay.

An added bonus to the Information Superhighway is if you find one or more of the myriad ways to generate income behind I.T. you will never lose your job. Imagine that, you'll never have to worry about being laid off again.

You can find yourself financially set for life. The first half decade or so you'll need to work diligently and quite possibly sacrifice your social life in the process. However, the pay-off is well worth the effort. Besides, if you like what you do you won't see it as a job nor will you actually view it as much of a sacrifice.

Work from Anywhere

In the I.T. world working from anywhere, literally means, working from anywhere. As a matter of fact, this top five list is being typed from Stonecrest Mall outside of Atlanta, GA. Sitting in the Mall area on the second floor, with a birds-eye view of both levels. I'm also troubleshooting computer problems, working from my cell and laptop. This is a prime example of multi-tasking in the 21st century.

Eliminate the Micro-Manager

Ahh the micro-manager. What a piece of work this woman is, as she hovers over your shoulders practically every hour, on the hour. You want to tell her to get the hell away from you but you can't. You need your job, so you grin and bear it. Working virtual office eliminates this individual. Even if you're still employed by corporate America and still report to that same insecure manager, she's not in your home, therefore she no longer has the ability to hover. She's emailing the crap out of you, but that's OK.

Be Your Own Boss

If you're your own boss, more often than not you enjoy what you do. There's no better way to take advantage of the Information Super Highway than by being in charge of your own fiscal destiny. One thing for sure, as an Independent Contractor you definitely get a firm handle on the adage, "time is money."

Pay Bills In Seconds

The concept of paying bills in a matter of seconds hit home after seeing a commercial of a mom and her daughter.

The child yelled from another room, "the movie is about to start." Mom's in the kitchen, the microwave bell goes off, she clicks a couple times on her laptop to pay bills, grabs the popcorn and heads to the other room to watch the movie.

Paying bills online means no more envelopes; no more stamps; no more waiting almost a week for your payment to post, and for the check to clear your bank.

Send and Receive Money In Seconds

Paypal and other online payment companies are quite possibly on the verge of putting Western Union's Money Gram out of business. That real possibility is probably a decade or so away, but it is inevitable, especially when you can send and receive money instantaneously.

Here's a real life example: You're conducting a business transaction via email, you make a sale, you're paid, even if you're standing right next to the ATM, there is no waiting, your money is there as soon as the purchaser (who could be thousands of miles away) clicks the "Pay" button.
