Love Poems have been around since the dawn of civilized people, a message from one person to another declaring their undying love for each other.
Today nothing has changed except for the format in which we send these messages, now we use emails or texts but the principal is still the same.
From the quiet, shy retiring types to the most emotionaly hardened of men and women, we can all be reduced to putting pen to paper when the need arises or the moment takes us.
Love poems and Love letters can express feelings which we find hard to express face to face, some of us are even capable of writing absolute masterpieces of the heart which if it weren't for the fact that they express our inner most heart felt feeling could probably win awards.
It doesn't matter whether you are twelve or forty two, you are never too young or old to send someone your love. It could be your first love or your husband / wife of thirty years, but at sometime, something compels us to write.

Some of these letters and poems are never sent, others are just dumped in the trash, which is a shame as these little shows of emotion could have been what was needed to tip the scale towards never ending happiness.
