When this song became a hit.... any wannabee guitarist had their own version of the song. As far as I can recall, even my own version, required me to sing. And believe me... if you hear me sing you'd get that extreme urge to smash the guitar on my head. But not Sungha Jung... no need for words in his performance. He as melded both accompaniment and lyrics into one. You can learn this song too with he wonderful DVD offered by Amazon. It is just a click away.

Composed in the key of E, "Yesterday Once More" preceded an "Oldies Medley" on the album, consisting of nine songs from the 1960s. At the end of the song a motorcycle engine was heard to transition into the first song of the medley: "Fun, Fun, Fun". The motorcycle was mixed out on The Singles: 1969-1973 compilation.More on Wiki

This song can really bring back memories. It certainly brings back mine. My mother also hums this while cooking or baking a cake. Come to think of it... only when baking a cake. Weird ha. Sungha Jung wonderfully brings the voice of Nancy back. The necessary skills to be a successful guitar player like Sungha Jung is written int his wonderful how-to book from Amazon.

RIGHT HERE WAITING

...arranged by Ulli Boegershausen

Selections from Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time:
Early Rock to the Late '60s
(Easy Guitar TAB)

"Right Here Waiting" was the second single from Repeat Offender, after "Satisfied". In an era of power ballads, "Right Here Waiting" distinguished itself by its understatement; the track was arranged by Marx with Jeffery (C.J.) Vanston to feature none of the heavy drums and synth popular at the time, with Marx's vocal accompanied only by guitar (by Bruce Gaitsch) and keyboards (by Vanston). It is one of Marx's most frequently covered compositions.More on Wiki

When I first played this tuen... it was with a Banduria (hmmmm... another lens?). It was for our final exams in playing the instrument in third year high school. Of course I flunked... me being tone deaf and all. This is one of the classic love songs. Sungha Jung reminds all of us how it is easy to fall in love and how hard to forget it is to forget.

BESAME MUCHO

...arranged by Ulli Bögershausen

30 Easy Spanish Guitar Solos
(Book & CD)

"Besame Mucho" is a Spanish language song written in 1940 by Mexican Consuelo Velazquez before her sixteenth birthday. The phrase "besame mucho" can be translated into English as "kiss me a lot".

According to Velazquez, she wrote this song even though she had never been kissed yet at the time. She was inspired by the aria "Quejas, o la Maja y el Ruisenor" from the Spanish 1916 opera Goyescas by Enrique Granados.

The lyrics were translated into english by Sunny Skylar.

Besame, besame mucho
Como si fuera esta noche
La ultima vez

Besame, besame mucho
Que tengo miedo a perderte
Perderte despues

Besame, besame mucho
Como si fuera esta noche
La ultima vez

Besame, besame mucho
Que tengo miedo a perderte
Perderte despues

Quiero tenerte muy cerca
Mirarme en tus ojos
Verte junto a mi
Piensa que tal ves manana
Yo ya estare lejos
Muy lejos de ti

Besame, besame mucho
Como si fuera esta noche
La ultima vez

Besame, besame mucho
Que tengo miedo a perderte
Perderte despues

Besame, besame mucho
Que tengo miedo a perderte
Perderte despues

Que tengo miedo a perderte
Perderte despues

Kiss me, kiss me a lot,
As if tonight was
the last time.

Kiss me, kiss me a lot,
Because I fear to lose you,
To lose you again.

Kiss me, kiss me a lot,
As if tonight was
the last time.

Kiss me, kiss me a lot,
Because I fear to lose you,
To lose you again.

I want to have you very close
To see myself in your eyes,
To see you next to me,
Think that perhaps tomorrow
I already will be far,
very far from you.

Kiss me, kiss me a lot,
As if tonight was
the last time.

Kiss me, kiss me a lot,
Because I fear to lose you,
To lose you again.

Kiss me, kiss me a lot,
Because I fear to lose you,
To lose you again.

Because I fear to lose you
