Love You Forever ♥ A Parents Valentine's Gift to their Children
Ranked #594 in Books, Poetry & Writing, #26,032 overall
A Parent's Greatest Gift to their Children
Reading to a baby, then into childhood, leads them into a successful journey to enjoy and master reading and writing in future years and hopefully, their entire life
I've chosen The title of "Love You Forever" based on the book since it was my favorite to read to my girls, That is until they claimed to be too old to be read to.
I've since then given this book to them to read to their own children.
I've wanted to showcase books for children for a while, but I didn't yet have a a solid focus beyond this wonderful story of a mother's enduring love for her child.
While looking at Twitter, I saw this title... "I'll Love You Forever, Valentine".
Oooh, I like that.
I could use something in the same vein for my book lens.
Then...
Oh no. I wonder if it's FOR the book.
To my delight I read the fabulous page, and thought...
YES!!! It's a title for an entirely different topic.
The lens is featured just below.

You don't really understand human nature unless you know why a child on a merry-go-round will wave at his parents every time around - and why his parents will always wave back. ~ William D. Tammeus

My Title Inspiration for this Showcase
Always kiss your children goodnight- even if they're already asleep. ~H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
Love You Forever
The emotion will get to parents, especially mothers.
Children love the cadence of the story.
Reviews:
A humorous, sentimental page-turner that rarely - let's say never -- leaves a reader with a dry eye. -- Gayle MacDonald, Globe and Mail 12/01/2005
My children and I enjoyed it, night after night, for years... A charmer. The simple story touches the heart. -- Jeith L. Runyon, Louisville Courier-Journal 11/13/2005
The best of Munsch's many storybooks. -- Leanne Dohy, Calgary Herald 09/25/2003

I Love You Always And Forever
A charming story of Littltail and her father Longtail. She is anxious to be just as smart and fast as her father. He assures her that her time will come, but he will always love her always and forever.
I Love You as Big as the World
Little Bear and Big Bear share how much they love each other: as bright as the sun, as blue as the sky.

If I had my child to raise all over again,
I'd build self-esteem first, and the house later.
I'd finger-paint more, and point the finger less.
I would do less correcting and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I'd take more hikes and fly more kites.
I'd stop playing serious, and seriously play.
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I'd do more hugging and less tugging.

- Wonderful. I have given the book, Love You Forever, as a gift so many times. It is one of my favorites. I am not as familiar with some of the others so will have to check them out, too.

- I'm amazed (and a bit saddened) that we don't own any of these! We have shelves upon shelves of books, but none of these are among them. What a wonderful selection of loving stories to share with little ones! This lens makes me want to run right out and buy a few to slip in between the Dr. Seuss and Star Wars stories at bedtime. I also love the quotes! They are just perfect. Terrific job! 5*, favorited, and lensrolled to my Lullaby lens :-)
