Incorporating Loving Kindness
Lovingkindness - also known as metta - is a tenet of Buddhism. It is practiced in meditation, and expressed in everyday living.
Noted author and meditation teacher Sharon Salzberg writes: "...The key to our deepest happiness lies in changing our vision of where to seek it." Therefore, Metta meditation teaches individuals to look inward for their truest happiness. Lovingkindness in everyday life is expressed by extending profound compassion to others - even those who have harmed us.
