Simple Low Carb 5 Ingredient Recipes
Low Carb Pie
Uses just 2 ingredients and water
Ingredients
2/3 cup boiling water
1-4 serving size any-flavor sugar-free gelatin dessert
1/2 cup cold water
Ice cubes
8-ounce tub whipped topping, thawed
Directions
1) Stir boiling water into gelatin for at least 2 minutes.
2) Add enough ice to cold water to make 1-1/4 cups.
3) Stir into gelatin mixture until thickened.
4) Discard any remaining ice.
5) Stir in whipped topping with wire whisk until smooth.
6) Pour into glass pie plate.
7) Refrigerate until firm, about 6 hours.
Low Carb Chocolate Cheesecake
Uses 5 Ingredients
1 package Gelatin
16 ounces cream cheese -- softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
16 packages Equal sweetener
1 ounce unsweetened baking chocolate squares -- melted
Directions
1) Dissolve the gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water in a mixing bowl.
2) Stir well.
3) Cut the cheese into small pieces and place in the dissolved gelatin.
4) Add melted chocolate. Mix.
5) Add the vanilla, sweetener; beat well with an electric mixer (2+ minutes on med/hi speed).
6) Pour into the prepared muffin cups or a buttered pie pan.
7) Chill until firm, about 2-3 hours
Fresh Fruit Float (Makes 4 servings)
Uses 5 Ingredients and Ginger Ale
1 cup cut-up strawberries
1 cup cut-up bananas
1 cup seedless grapes
4 cups low-calorie lemon-lime carbonated beverage or low-calorie ginger ale
2 cups fruit-flavored sherbet
Directions
1) Divide fruit evenly among 4 tall glasses.
2) Slowly pour 1 cup carbonated beverage over fruit in each glass.
3) Top each serving with 1/2 cup sherbet
Broccoli Salad
Uses 5 Low carb Ingredients
1 head broccoli
1 pound of bacon (bakes until crisp)
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup shredded cheese
½ purple onion
Directions
1) Cut broccoli into tiny pieces.
2) Add crushed bacon and the rest of the ingredients.
3) Add 4 packets of Splenda to the mix.
Parmesan Onions
Uses just 3 low carb ingredients
8 medium onions
sliced 1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
Directions
1) Sauté onions in butter 10 to 12 minutes.
2) Remove to baking dish.
3) Sprinkle cheese over top.
4) Broil 5 inches from heat until cheese melts.
Peachy Jell-0
There are zero carbohydrates in this recipe
1 small box Sugar Free Peach Jell-o
1 cup boiling water
1 cup Clear American Golden Peach Sparkling Flavored Water
Directions
1) Stir one cup boiling water into gelatin in medium bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. 2) Stir in 1 cup chilled Golden Peach Flavored Water.
3) Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm
Parmesan Cheese Puffs
Uses just 2 food ingredients
2 large egg whites
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan
A pinch cayenne
Vegetable oil for deep-frying
Directions
1) Put whites in a large bowl and let stand at room temperature 15 minutes.
2) With an electric mixer beat whites until they hold stiff peaks and with a metal spoon thoroughly fold in Parmesan and cayenne.
3) Roll mixture into about twenty 3/4-inch balls.
4) In a 3-quart heavy kettle heat 1 inch oil to 375 degrees.
5) Working in batches, fry balls, turning them until golden - about 2 minutes.
6) Transfer to paper towels to drain.
