It is healthy and works well on the grill, in the oven, and even fried in a skillet. When I'm short on time or going to be at work for the day, I often use crock-pot recipes like the one below.

I lost 85lbs in 18mths on Atkins! Although I couldn't handle 20g of carbs per day so i modified it to 60g per day. yes I lost it slowly but i have kept it off for 2 yrs now.

I am using the Atkins Diet approach now and I really love it. It gives you the feeling of being able to eat "good" things that one would normally think are bad, for instance, regular cream cheese instead of low fat, and half and half for your coffee, and being able to have lobster dipped in melted butter without going off the program! I am doing really well with it and will continue to use it as my daily living routine.

I think it is much more natural and healthful - IF the eater sticks to clean organic food! Think about it: we don't have multiple stomachs for digesting grains like grazers.

I was not a believer, but the proof is in the pudding (or meat in this case). On a very loose low-carb diet (mostly eliminating rice and breads as well as sweets) I've lost 8 lbs in 3 months. I'm pretty impressed with that. I want to lose 15 lbs total. So I'm halfway! I read Good Calories, Bad Calories and the science convinced me.

I've been on low carb on and of for quite some time now. And once you go through the initial withdrawal syndroms (can take up to a week of really crappy feeling) the difference in digestion and feeling is brilliant :)

I tried one not long ago. Me and a few co workers. We dropped it down to 19 carbs and the first day I had a head ache! It was withdrawls from the sweet tea...seriously. After 2 days with a horrible headache, I took a big gulp of sweet tea and then relized that a short time later my headache was gone!
However, while I didn't succeed my friend was very successful! Go ANGIE!

I am trying in right now. I am not doing a very strict Atkins type of diet, but restricting my carbs to 100 (max 150) a day. My problem is my glucose level. I have to reduce it. So for now, its ok. But staying away from breads and pasta is absolutely killing me.

- This type of diet has always interested me but I don't know if I could manage without the carbs! But it's worth a try, I have a wedding dress to fit into!
