Low Diets Facts And Informations
There is a general belief that diets are the best way to lose weight, and among them low diets are making the headlines.
If you consider starting a low diet of any kind, or even worse, if you are torturing yourself to lose weight with one of them, let's take a look at low diet facts and myths, and find out if it really worth the trouble.
1. Failure To Include All The Important Factors
Low calorie diets are so concentrated on calories that never mention fats or cholesterol level. You get the idea.
Is very rare to find a comprehensive method who consider all the dietary factors needed to lose weight.
But a viable weight loss method should consider all these factors as a whole. The accent should be put on the healthy balance of all nutritional elements, not a single one, and be compatible with your personal needs and unique lifestyle. Otherwise it will either fail to work for you, or you will fail to follow it.
2. The Foods Are Tasteless, Expensive And Never Enough
Sugar free cakes or low fat ice cream are not my favorite choices when it comes to enjoy a desert. The taste is so weird that i better skip them, and i bet you feel the same. Most low diet foods are in best cases tasteless. When they have a taste, is usually reminding of cardboard or paper. Then i have to mention certain weight loss system who make you buy their own foods. Not only that you get to pay a lot of money for fancy tasteless foods, but they are coming in ridiculous small portions. If they rip you off at least you can expect more than few mouthful of food.
But hey, you are on a low diet and frustration is just part of the deal!
3.Low Diets Make You Actually Obsessed With Food
The problem is not only that you lose the ability to simply enjoy a meal and choosing a restaurant becomes a detective work. Is also the "forbidden fruit" syndrome: the more you tell yourself you can't touch a certain type of food, the more you crave for him. You see it everywhere, everybody seems to eat it and you start to feel really miserable.
4.Overwhelmed With Guilt And Frustration

The obvious development of this is that you start to get really frustrated and guilty. And is understandable. You feel like all this is way too much for you.
"If i skip the breakfast, can i ad some more potatoes for lunch?""It will be so bad if i get two pieces of that?" "I shouldn't take that second piece of meat yesterday.""I am allowed to have so many calories in one meal?"" I hope nobody saw me gulping that cake"...
Diets have unleashed more guilt, shame and food legalism on our society than anything else in this world.
And to think that after all you only wanted to lose some pounds....
5. All That For A 5% Success Rate?
Well, let's think about that again.
Statistically, the weight loss success rate is around 5%. It is a fact. Which means that actually 95% of people who diet will never lose weight, or will gain it back. Which means that 95% of people who diet go through this all this pain for nothing. And they end up more frustrated and discouraged than ever about losing weight.
So the question is: considering all the above, you still think is worth following a low diet for only a 5% chance of success?
I'm Going For A Better Way

If low diets are not the way to lose weight, than what is it?
First of all you should release yourself from guilt and frustration. Understand that guilt is a psychological factor that will always stop you losing weight. Pressure and frustration will only make you crave for more food. Previous failures will always make you drop a diet even before it is possible to see any results.
People who really lose weight started exactly with the understanding that a diet doesn't have to be a punishment. You can lose weight and enjoy life in the same time. Start looking for a better weight loss method with a better diet plan and quit your low carb diet. Or low fat, low calories or low whatever. They don't low nothing but your joy of life.
If you ask me i would go for a diet that:
-allows me a wide range of food types and menus
-don't starve me. Ever!
-address all the dietary factors as a whole
-it helps me make healthy decisions, not "low" ones
-has a high rate of success
-can be followed for a very long time
-gives me enough motivation and inspiration to feel good about myself
-is affordable to any wallet, even mine
-it doesn't promise miracles, but deliver results
-it makes me lose weight in a natural way, not depriving me of food
This is more or less my idea of a high diet. High in nutrition, healthy foods and everything your body need to lose weight easily.
