What are Carbohydrates?

There are two types or carbohydrates; simplewhich come from sugars and complex which come from starches. The difference between the two is how they are digested. Simple carbs come from cookies, candy, sugary drinks, and many fruits are digested easily and quickly. Complex carbs are in bread, pasta and many vegetables take much longer to digest.

Does Your Body Need Carbs?

YES, your body does need carbs. You need them for energy. Diets that are low to no carbs re-introduce carbs back into your diet. However, they only introduce complex carbs no simple carbs. Therefore you think that your body does not need carbs.

What Is the Best Diet For You?

Following a diet plan that is well balanced and includes exercise is much healthier than a diet that is low to no carbs. Research is now showing that it is better to eat several small meals a day instead of 3 large meals.
