Low Vision aids or Macular Degeneration aids are required in our home. My husband has been legally blind for over twenty years. He suffers from a combination of macular degeneration and retinitis pigmentosa and, the doctors say, a host of other diseases of the eyes. Since his diagnosis, we have learned which aids for the blind are most helpful for him. This lens will showcase some of the best low vision products I have been able to find.

ILA Customer Service told me -- ILA - You can use the PVO to read books, magazines, maps, newspapers etc. You can read restaurant menus with it and read price labels when grocery shopping. It features distance viewing so that some people who don't have severe vision loss can see signs or objects across a room. You are able to view your handwriting when writing checks or receipts etc. You can also connect it to a television or computer monitor to increase the magnification.

- I'm back again. I think I could use the PVO Electronic Portable Color Magnifier. One for me and one for mum. I'm thinking it would be good for finding the prices at the grocery stores. They always put the sale price like "2 for half price" in very small print. That little gizmo would solve the problem. 5*s, favorite and lensrolled to my LaraineRose lens so that I can find my way back.
