Aids for People With Low Vision or Partially Sighted
As you read this short article, you will discover ways you can assist friends and relatives with low vision and those who are partially sighted. Low vision aids provide independence and self-reliance to those with vision problems.
After 25 years of living with a legally blind husband, we both have learned the importance of a positive attitude and the convenience of low vision aids. As you can see in the photo, Whitey is a legally blind golfer, and enjoys a very active lifestyle despite his loss of vision.
A vision impairment does not have to destroy your happiness. It does, however, require determination, adjustment, and a little help from technology. Good internet research can help you find exactly the information you need as you face this challenge.
We discovered Independent Living Aids some time ago, and have dealt exclusively with them for vision aids for Whitey. We enjoy their dependability, good prices and excellent customer service. Vision aids that I feature on my lenses are from Independent Living Aids -- because I know they will treat you well!

- One of the great products for low vision individuals I've discovered is the Just5 Easyphone. I gave this one to my younger brother and he's very happy with it as he can use now use a cell phone with great ease. It has big buttons and voice confirm. The phone also has bright screen display and large screen display. This phone is very attractive as a whole. Plus, this is also very affordable. Others can check this out here: www.Just5.com

- Great directory, Joan. I have to tell you we use your sock technique for our sons ~~ I buy only the sports socks from Costco. They all match and when one gets a hole in it, there's always a mate available.
