Lower Ab Workout Tips - For Men
Men with six-packs work unbelievably hard to get their abs looking toned and defined. Besides having little body fat, these men use a variety of exercises to keep their abs in tip-top shape. If you want to start working on your abs consider trying some of these exercises for a total lower abs workout:
An excellent exercise for your lower abs is the Jack Knife. Lie on a bench with your lower half off of the bench or just lie the floor in a flat position. Complete a crunch and bring your knees to your shoulders and squeeze your abs hard as you can. Not only will this work your abs but will also work on your balance.
One of my personal favorites is the V-UP. Grab a mat and place it on the floor. Lie on the mat and sit in a flat position. Raise both your arms and your legs and bring them together into a "V." Make sure to keep your lower back as flat as possible and stretch your abs out. Bring both your legs and arms back to the starting position and exhale slowly. Continue for ten reps and three to four sets.
Similar to the V-up is the Lying Leg Raise/ Throw down. Start in the same position as you did for the V-Up. Instead of bringing your arms and legs together, keep your arms on the ground and just raise your legs and bring them closer to you. Keep your back flat on the mat to work the abs harder.
The final exercise is the air bike. Like on your back and place your hands behind your head. Raise your legs so your thighs are perpendicular and your legs are just above the floor. Curl yourself and bring your right elbow to your left side and bring your left knee into your body to meet it similar to riding a bike. Do the same for each side of your body for 10 repetitions of each side and complete multiple sets for an unbelievable lower abs workout.
These exercises can be completely by anybody and only use your bodyweight as resistance. You can do any and all of these exercises at home for a complete lower abs workout for any man. These exercises will tone , bulge and strengthen your lower abs to give you the ideal looking six-pack any girl will enjoy.
