When looking to attain a flat stomach or six pack abs the most common area of trouble is the lower abdomals. With the right types of exercise you can target these specific muscles and achieve your goals a lot faster than most.

Side crunches

This is a basic lower abdominal exercise. First lie on your back with your knees together and raised. Twist your waist so your knees are on the floor. Reverse crunches

Lie flat on the floor. Ensure your hands are flat and under your lower back. Outstretch your legs and exhale as you raise your legs one at a time. Then lower your legs as you inhale. Do this as many times as required.
