Lower Back Tattoo

Hi there,

You've come here looking for a tattoo design, right? Maybe a friend has a lower back tattoo that you think is stunning, or a beautiful Celtic design on her arm, or a colourful butterfly tattoo on her ankle that all the guys admire.

Or maybe it's the opposite; her tattoo is blurred and ugly and looks like someone drew it on with an inky pen. And we've all seen those, haven't we?

You'd like a tattoo, or you wouldn't be here. But you're wondering how NOT to make that awful mistake. Because if you get a bad tattoo, man, are you stuck with it! You'll spend the rest of your life trying to cover it up, or spend $1000s to have it removed.

So how are you going to make sure that the tattoo you choose is one that you'll want to show off to all your friends?

Just take a moment to read this tale about a friend of mine who dreamed of having a lower back tattoo:

We'll call her Jade.

Jade 

Celtic Lower Back TattooJade has a job, lots of friends, and loves to go out. She also has a cute boyfriend called Paul.

For a while now, Jade has thought about getting a tattoo on her lower back, just above her waist.
Paul has admired these tattoos on others, so Jade has decided to surprise him.

But she's not sure what design she wants. She's seen in the magazines that some of her favourite celebrities have lower back tattoos; Angelina Jolie has a tiger, Sarah Michelle Gellar a dragonfly.

Or maybe Jade should have a Celtic or Tribal design - she just doesn't know where to look! Where can she see lots of ideas so that she can make her mind up what is right for her?

So first she goes to the mall with her friend Tania and looks in a tattoo artist's shop. There are lots of designs to choose from, but nothing that really fires her up - some of the designs look clumsy and crude. She's really disappointed.

Lower Back TattooTania, on the other hand, is so excited by what she sees in the store that she wants one doing there and then.

Instead of looking around a bit more she allows the slimy sales guy to talk her into picking a butterfly design and letting the artist get started on her back. He offers her a few dollars off, Today Only, and cash up front of course. She falls right into his trap.

It doesn't turn out well and Tania's really upset. Instead of wanting to proudly show off her new tattoo in her backless black dress that she paid $100 for, she just wants to cover up and go out in jeans and a T.

In fact, she doesn't want to go out at all.

Jade 

Jade is smarter, and learns from Tania's mistake. She wants many designs to choose from before she makes her mind up. Paul knows a really good tattoo artist who works from designs clients take to him, so Jade has the idea of going on-line to look - without the pressure of a slimy sales guy!

First she looks at a website that advertises "Free Designs". But they're awful; badly drawn and blurry. Imagine having that on your back for the rest of your life.

Then, when she's just about to give up, she finds The One. It's a website called Chopper Tattoo! and there are thousands of beautiful designs drawn by experts. Full refund if she's not happy. She spends an hour carefully looking - no sales guy hanging - even calls Tania and asks her to come over help her make her mind up. No worries about the store closing.

Tania helps her choose and wishes she'd gone to Chopper Tattoos!.

Couple of weeks later, they're both invited to a really cool party. Tania goes in pants and a top that covers her back.

Jade goes in Tania's $100 backless black dress and her new tattoo. She's the belle of the ball; everyone asks where she got the great design and she has a fabulous time. Tania goes home early, in tears.

SO WHICH ONE DO YOU WANT TO BE - JADE OR TANIA?

    I dunno, I guess if you were to do hat, you might as well get the kanji symbol for cliche. I agree with the idea of putting a lot of time and effort into it, but if this is gonna be on you for a long time, why not get something completely custom? Personally I go to places that require an appointment several weeks if not months in advance. Not to say the walk in shops aren't good, but they tend to be an assembly line where they try and turn and burn clients for more money.     Really Want a Tribal Starting from my top right side and want it going like snake like down my back and finish just on my left hip =]
