Lower Your Debt

The biggest failing of the school system today is that it doesn't teach us how to live well. I'm not talking about having a solid gold Rolls Royce and a yacht, I'm talking about taking the average, American wage and living comfortably on it. The vast majority of Americans live paycheck to paycheck DESPITE what the economy is doing. That means that when the economy is poor, they are barely scraping by and paying their bills but it ALSO means that the same is true even when the economy is good. Why?

Poor Wealth Management

You control your wealth

drowning in debtMost Americans have no idea how to manage their wealth. They can balance their checkbooks, keep track of how much money they have in the bank and make sure they pay their bills but that's not the same thing. Wealth management is about being financially smart, lowering your debt and using your money smarter so that your quality of life increases instead of decreases.

Growing Debt
It's no secret that most Americans now have an average of over $10,000 in card debt. That's an incredible financial burden for anyone to have, especially considering the average interest rate is about 17% on most major cards. It's because of these exorbitant interest rates that most of us will live our entire lives drowning in debt, but it doesn't have to be that way. No matter what your financial situation, you can work smarter to improve your financial position. You just need to know how.

Oh gosh ... we are seriously pondering everything, recalculating and reformulating ... to simplify and then move on.

I think one key factor in many peoples over-indebtedness is the modern tendence to confuse 'wants' and 'needs.' Those $150 tennis sneakers are a want, not a need, and one should think twice before going into debt for a want.

Couldn't agree more! Living on a boat REALLY makes you cut your life down to the essentials. The modern comforts are replaced by the majesty of the sea, swimming with dolphins, watching sea otters and sunsets. It's the best life a person could live!

I've done this before with another firm and it was one of the best things we ever did.
