The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International is a not-for-profit organization founded by Dr. Dian Fossey in 1978 to preserve and protect the world's last mountain gorillas.
International Primate Protection League
Since 1973, this organization has been working to protect all primates.
Gorilla Haven
Jane Dewar founded this place in Georgia - and it recently became AZA-accredited. She shares plenty of pictures and stories about her favorite gorillas and those who work with them.
Ape Alliance
The Ape Alliance is an international coalition of organisations and individuals, working for the conservation and welfare of apes. It exists to:

* Provide a forum for discussion of issues relating to apes.
* Develop position papers on key issues.
* Lobby collectively for enactment and/or enforcement of legislation to improve the welfare and/or conservation of apes.
* Campaign for greater public awareness of ape issues and increase respect for apes.
* Facilitate information exchange between member groups and, where appropriate, coordinate activities to maximise their beneficial effect.
Great Apes Survival Project - GRASP
The Great Apes Survival Project (GRASP) Partnership is an innovative and ambitious project of United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) with an immediate challenge - to lift the threat of imminent extinction faced by gorillas (Gorilla beringei, G. gorilla), chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes), bonobos (Pan paniscus) and orangutans (Pongo abelii, P. pygmaeus) across their ranges in equatorial African and south-east Asia.

Great Ape Project - GAP
