Who is Lucas Glover

2009 was Lucas Glover's best year on the PGA Tour so far.

As a result of his thrilling US Open win at Bethpage, and strong finishes at the AT&T National (5th) and the PGA Championship (5th), he became one of Fred Couples Captain's picks for the Presidents Cup team.

The Presidents Cup is being played at Harding Park Golf Course in San Francisco, on October 6 - 11.

Lucas Hendley Glover (born November 12, 1979) is an American professional golfer. He was the winner of the 2009 U.S. Open, his first major title.

Glover was born in Greenville, South Carolina. He attended Clemson University from 1998 until 2001, majoring in communication studies. During his Clemson career he was named to 1st Team All-America in 2000 and 2001. He was a member of the 2001 United States Walker Cup team and turned professional later that year. He also won the Sunnehanna Amateur in 2001.
