Collecting Lumicel Art for fun and Profit
Hi I have been Collecting Lumicel Art for a while now and thought it about time I shared some knowledge about what it is and where it is available. Lumicel is a hand drawn animation model sheet with central serigraphic or hand-painted color image. surrounded by a collection of outer (usually Pencil) drawings in a variety of poses.
When your hand is waved in front of the Lumicel it comes to life with a variety of effects such as lighting, music and sound effects. This is all achieved without any visible buttons, speakers, or switches. It gives collectors all the beauty and value of true archival-quality materials and presentation while delivering drama and surprise.

So romantic! ♥sigh♥ Thanks so much for all the sweet comments, everyone!
So why would you want to buy one?
There are many different reasons to buy a Lumicel, as an investment is an obvious one as these work's of art not only retain there value but as Limited edition's there value increases yearly, but this is not the only reasonSit down with your young Grandchildren or children and watch an old Disney movie then see there eye's light up every time they walk past these pictures the smile on there face is worth far more than the profit you make
Remember what it was like when you watched these movies as a child, Hiding your eyes so the wicked witch wouldn't see you, or laughing when something happy happens. These moment's in modern day living are so easily forgotten and a simple reminder when your feeling a bit blue is a wonderful tonic
The Last Two in the Disney Series

Snow White and the Seven Dwarf's

This Lumicel has all your favourite dwarf's and animal's around the center image of snow white her self, the wicked witch makes an appearance in the top left corner. It was produced as a 1,000 limited edition.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a 1937 animated feature, the first produced by Walt Disney. It was the first full-length animated feature to become widely successful within the English-speaking world, the first full-length animated feature with sound, and the first to be filmed in Technicolor. Disney's wife, Lillian, told him: "No one's ever gonna pay a dime to see a dwarf picture.". it went on to become a major box-office success, making more money than any other motion picture in 1938. In fact, for a short time, Snow White was the highest-grossing film in American cinema history; it was ousted from that spot by Gone with the Wind in 1939. Adjusted for inflation, and incorporating subsequent releases, the film still registers one of the top ten American film moneymakers of all time.
Mickey the Early Year's

This Lumicel is dedicated to the early Mickey cartoon's it is made up of a selection of mickey animation drawing's in various stages development it was produced as a limited edition of 1500.
In the spring of 1928, Disney asked Ub Iwerks to start drawing up new character ideas. Iwerks tried sketches of frogs, dogs and cats, but none of these appealed to Disney. Iwerks eventually got inspiration from an old drawing. In 1925, Hugh Harman drew some sketches of mice around a photograph of Walt Disney. These inspired Ub Iwerks to create a new mouse character for Disney called Mickey Mouse. "We felt that the public, and especially the children, like animals that are cute and little. I think we are rather indebted to Charlie Chaplin for the idea. We wanted something appealing, and we thought of a tiny bit of a mouse that would have something of the wistfulness of Chaplin - a little fellow trying to do the best he could." Mickey Mouse has become an icon for The Walt Disney Company. The anthropomorphic mouse has evolved from being simply a character in animated cartoons and comic strips to become one of the most recognizable symbols in the world.
Collecting Disney
There are a wide range of Disney items to collect. Some people collect anything Disney. Some just collect Disney stuffed animals also known as plush. Others may collect only one character or maybe all of the Princesses. There are many types of collectors and many different sub-sets of Disney merchandise to collect, far too many to list in a module it will require a Lens or three, I am endeavoring to make a complete guide to collecting Disney it is a work in progress but I shall publish it as soon as it is up to scratch. Collecting is something you can spend a great deal of time and money on. It is also something you can pick and choose therefore limiting you're spending... Other Disney Squidooo's

The Definition : Giclee (zhee-klay) - The French word "giclée" is a
feminine noun that means a spray or a spurt of liquid. The word may have been
derived from the French verb "gicler" meaning "to squirt".
The Term : The term "giclee print" connotes an elevation in printmaking
technology. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed
with archival quality inks onto various substrates including canvas, fine art,
and photo-base paper. The giclee printing process provides better color accuracy
than other means of reproduction.
The Process : Giclee prints are created typically using professional
8-Color to 12-Color ink-jet printers. Among the manufacturers of these printers
are vanguards such as Epson, MacDermid Colorspan, & Hewlett-Packard. These
modern technology printers are capable of producing incredibly detailed prints
for both the fine art and photographic markets. Giclee prints are sometimes
mistakenly referred to as Iris prints, which are 4-Color ink-jet prints from a
printer pioneered in the late 1970s by Iris Graphics.
The Advantages : Giclee prints are advantageous to artists who do not
find it feasible to mass produce their work, but want to reproduce their art as
needed, or on-demand. Once an image is digitally archived, additional
reproductions can be made with minimal effort and reasonable cost. The
prohibitive up-front cost of mass production for an edition is eliminated.
Archived files will not deteriorate in quality as negatives and film inherently
do. Another tremendous advantage of giclee printing is that digital images can
be reproduced to almost any size and onto various media, giving the artist the
ability to customize prints for a specific client.
The Quality : The quality of the giclee print rivals traditional
silver-halide and gelatin printing processes and is commonly found in museums,
art galleries, and photographic galleries.

Plasama
A plasma display panel (PDP) is a type of flat panel display now commonly used for large TV displays (typically above 37-inch or 940Â mm). Many tiny cells located between two panels of glass hold an inert mixture of noble gases. The gas in the cells is electrically turned into a plasma which then excites phosphors to emit light. Plasma displays are commonly confused with LCDs, another lightweight flatscreen display but with very different technology.

Touchscreen Technology
A Touch Screen is a display which can detect the presence and location of a touch within the display area. The term generally refers to touch or contact to the display of the device by a finger or hand. Touch screens can also sense other passive objects, such as a stylus. However, if the object sensed is active, as with a light pen, the term touchscreen is generally not applicable. The thumb rule is: if you can interact with the display using your finger, it is likely a touchscreen - even if you are using a stylus or some other object.
Up until recently, most consumer touch screens could only sense one point of contact at a time, and few have had the capability to sense how hard one is touching. This is starting to change with the commercialisation of multi-touch technology - a technology extant since the early 1980s.
The touch screen has two main attributes. First, it enables you to interact with what is displayed directly on the screen, where it is displayed, rather than indir...
