The Lululemon Athletica Inc is a Vancouver-based company that sells its branded apparel which is designed for yoga, dance, running and general fitness.

While lululemon uses a variety of fabrics in their clothing, there are three core fabric technologies that lululemon uses:

* Luon is a nylon/lycra blend that has a matte appearance, as opposed to the shine of most nylon/lycra blends. Luon is used in the yoga pants that lululemon is best known for. Luon is also used in jackets and some tops. Some garments are made using a lighter weight luon that is called lullure. A selected number of jackets have been made using a "brushed" luon. It is claimed that the brushing process adds warmth and comfort to the clothing.
* Silverescent integrates silver yarn or ion into polyester fabric. The technology is designed to add anti-bacterial and anti-odor properties to the garment. Silverescent can be found in a variety of lululemon shirts, tank tops, and socks.
* Vitasea is a blend of cotton, lycra and a seaweed compound which is described by the company as cooling, therapeutic and anti-bacterial. Most vitasea products are shirts. The company recently launched a men's boxer short using the fabric.

Lululemon clothing is preshrunk. Garments with zippers are preshrunk before the zipper is sewn in. Flat seaming is standard on all garments, which lessens chafing. A gusset is sewn into most women's pants, to allow for more range of movement and to prevent the pant from riding up in the groin.
