I was excited to try the coalface cleanser for your face. This was actually the first thing I opened and used. Lush adds rosewater to the ingredients, and the cleanser has a fresh rosy smell. I wet my face and rubbed the soap on, it has a gritty texture like tiny granules of sand only smaller. This acts as an exfoliant. The coalface wash left my skill feeling extremely clean and soft. I was getting ready for bed, so I didn't plan on using anything else on my skin at the moment. I have combination oily/dry skin and it made the oily parts feel clean and seemed to reduce the appearance of pores and shine. After about 5 minutes, the initial soft clean feeling started to wear off and my skin felt a bit dry, so I applied some moisturizer. But overall I am happy with the coalface cleanser.

After two or three uses, I find this facial cleanser to be too harsh for daily use. This would be something I would use once or twice a week as a special exfoliator, but my skin is too sensative and I feel like it is too dry after a few days.

I was a bit dubious at the banana ingredients in this one, I didn't know how that would smell, I don't really like bananas very much. I tried this lotion on my elbows, because they are always dry and in need of body lotion. I really like how smooth and soft my hands got after applying the lotion. My elbows were softer and smooth, but it didn't really seem to get deep down into the skin like a medicated lotion would.

The scent was light and sweet, I like the scent of the sympathy for the Skin lotion. It does not have a strong, overwhelming banana smell at all. It has a light, fruity smell like a cake or sweet treat. I think I can see the banana mixed into the lotion.

Later... The more I used this lotion the more I really like it. It's not greasy and it goes on your skin and softens, but doesn't make your hands or skin feel like they have that lotion residue. The smell is so yummy, that I would definitely buy this product again.

This one is defintely citrus based. This is one of Lush's limited edition seasonal items, so you cannot buy it year round, but you can find it on eBay.

I'm not a fan or Orange or Citrus scents in general, this soap reminded me too much or orange glo or other citrus scented cleaning products. The smell lingered on my hands after my shower and I liked it less and less. I actually ended up not using my entire soap sample because I just did not care for the smell.

I've also noticed my skin has been dry lately, which is odd because it is just starting to get warm outside, so it's not the winter months, I'm suspecting this might be caused by the Lush soap that I've been trying.

This soap reminded me of regular Ivory soap. It didn't have a unique smell, it washes normally, but it doesn't seem to lather. This was actually the first soap sample that I tried, so that may be a quality of all the Lush Soaps.

I was a little bit confused about this one, I had to visit the Lush website to see exactly how to use this product. It looks green and mossy. I felt like I was a forest nymph using nature to wash my face. The directions say, take a pea sized amount, add water, and mix into a paste in your hand. Next apply to your wet face with small circular motions.

It's main ingredient is rosemary, and it has a nice fresh scent. I found this cleanser to be messy. I created a green soup in my hands, but the entire pea size amount didn't disolve all the way, so I had some bits on my face. I need to give this one another try.

Use for: Normal to Oily skin.

I really like the scent of this soap, it reminds me of grape koolaid. It also reminds me of a wine scented Yankee Candle I once had. All the lush soap performs pretty much the same way. Doesn't lather unless you use a loofa, and I swear my skin is drying then usual.

I was recently watching a video and learned that different scents work with different people depending on their PH levels, thus different soap scents will help to neutralize odors on different people. I think if you are using a soap and you don't feel like it's getting you squeeky clean, maybe this could be the reason why.

This was a limited edition October 2010 lush soap release, so you can't buy it right now... except maybe eBay.

Lush's Sugar Plum Fairy Scrub is an easy to use crumbly sugar bar that you can rub all over your body to remove any rough spots. It is made with real "fair trade" sugar. The Sugar Plum Fairy scent is a seasonal item for christmas, but they have "Sugar Babe" and "Sugar Scrub" made with fennel and ginger that you can purchase year round. The Sugar Babe would be the similar product. This has a sweet fruity/floral mixed scent. I don't think you would get very many uses out of one of these bars, because I had a 1/4 sample size and it was only a single use, but if you don't exfoliate regularly and want this for special occasions, I liked the texture and smell of the scrub.
