Luuvee will change the world much like the iPod did.
Ranked #514,265 in Business & Work, #3,166,133 overall
I was never an "album person." By that I mean I was never one of those people who could buy a CD or a cassette as some of us did way back when, and play the entire album at one time. I usually prefer to play the few songs that stand out first, and then move on to different albums. I eventually listen to the rest of the record, and
add the songs I like to my music list.
This may be one of the reasons why it took me a while to jump on the portable music player wagon. I never had a walkman. I had a portable CD player, but I rarely used it;
the mere thought of having to switch CDs every few minutes just to hear different songs distanced me from the device almost completely.
After the invention of MP3s and mixing software, I managed to create some mix CDs, but, by then, my cousins bought me my first MP3 player, a Rio. I thought it was the solution, until I realized it was too complicated to understand or use.
Then, in the summer of 2004, my cousins bought me a wonderful gadget which was the answer to my manic listening practices: the iPod. It was a stylishly white, 20-gigabyte luxury with killer quality headphones and a trendy touch wheel. Now I could travel anywhere and conveniently take thousands of songs with me; I could satisfy every musical whim and look cool doing it.
Like many college students across the world, I listen to my iPod constantly and spend a great deal of time collecting and organizing music to put in the player. It has added depth to my knowledge of digital music and motivates me to find new artists to grace my playlist. My iPod has almost become another appendage, much to the concern of my mother, who detests my apparent dependence on the contraption.
I know I'm not the only one who feels this way about his or her iPod. At Smith, throngs of people walk around with the ubiquitous white headphones in their ears. We take our iPods to class, lunch, extracurricular activities, town, a friend's house or just to our bedrooms for some alone time with the music player. Many of us have spent ridiculously large sums of money on iPod accessories such as skins, colorful leather and plastics cases, iPod socks, external speakers, wireless radio tuners and sound recorders.
Now, Apple has a service which allows people to download films and TV shows for use with video iPods. Apple has even announced plans to create hardware which will send music and video between computers and televisions wirelessly. How this new service will change the way we watch movies and television remains to be seen.
However, judging from my illustrious and ardent past with my iPod, I know it will most likely be an enlightening development and a fashionable one to boot.
Ok, that was 2006 Now it is 2009. Imagine if we substitute iPod for Luuvee and Online Dating.
Generation Luuvee: How Luuveehas changed our online dating world
I was never a "dating person." By that I mean I was never one of those people who could just go on a date as some of us did way back when, we just had fun all the time. I usually prefer to take my time, until someone stands out first, and then move on to something more serious. After a while, I eventually meet a lot of people, and make a few friends.
This may be one of the reasons why it took me a while to jump on the online dating wagon. I never dated very much. I was shy, and rarely went out; the mere thought of having to be witty every few minutes just to hear others laugh distanced me from going out almost completely.
After the invention of online dating, I managed to feel a little more comfortable, but, by then, my cousins showed me a site. I thought it was the solution, until I realised it was too complicated and expensive to use.
Then, in the summer of 2009, my cousins brought me into a wonderful site which was the answer to my manic dating practices: Luuvee. It was a stylishly cool, simple luxury with quality people and was affordable. Now I could travel anywhere and conveniently look at thousands of profiles; I could satisfy every dating whim and feel cool doing it.
Like many lonely people across the world, I dream about finding the right person. With Luuvee I have added depth to my knowledge of dating and it motivates me to find new people to add to my favourites list. My Luuvee has almost become another appendage, much to the concern of my mother, who detests my apparent dependence of the site.
I know I'm not the only one who feels this way about Luuvee. All day, throngs of people walk around with ubiquitous Luuvee in their minds. We take Luuvee to class, lunch, extracurricular activities, town, a friend's house or just to our bedrooms for some alone time with the uploaded videos and live chat. Many of us have spent ridiculously large sums of money on online dating accessories such as flirts, chats, pics and scientific matching, but with Luuvee, it is all included in one low price.

Judging from my illustrious and ardent past with Luuvee, I know it will most likely be an enlightening development and a fashionable one to boot.
