My Bubble Bath - A Place of Refuge
But take a little time and thought and you can turn your own bathroom into a pleasant place to pamper yourself. Most of us get so wound up and busy that we forget to stop and take some wind down time. The bath is a great place for relaxing.

My Bubble Bath

It is So SIMPLE to Create Your Own Fragrant Bath Salts
You can create a therapeutic bath at home.One of the Young Living Essential Oil Blends I like to bathe in is called Peace and Calming. These also make great gifts which are a treat for the recipient.
First you should find a pretty jar or tin.
Next fill it half full of epsom salt. Then add a few drops of the essential oil you have chosen (the amount will vary depending on the size of the container and how strong you want it to smell). Then simply put in more epsom salts and shake and roll the container so that the salt will disperse the oils and be sure to put the top on tight so the fragrance won't escape until the person is ready to bathe.
Even when making this just for myself I try to let the oils absorb for a couple of hours before using it in the bath.
Warning - I suggest NOT just putting the oil in the water directly. Why not? Well some oils have been known to discolor the porcelain in some tubs. just a word to the wise. Besides epsom salts are therapeutic and soak away aches and pains.

I love this shower head! Our old one had a plastic base that screwed onto the spigot and needless to say, plastic gets old and cracks. I had to find a new double shower head in a pinch and this one really did the job. It was affordable and both heads swivel and work at once PLUS the base is metal. Try finding that in a local store-the only ones out there are $80+ and most have the handheld showerhead attachment which doesn't work at the same time as the main head. This one came in super speedy shipping with a roll of plumbers tape which was such a nice surprise because I couldn't find mine; great touch of customer service. The showerhead itself is surprisingly easy to move around and switch settings without blasting yourself in the face with water plus the pressure even on the regular setting is great-it still feels like a light massage. I know dual heads use more water BUT for a good wake up morning shower or a neck massage after work...I wouldn't trade it at all.

Create a Gift Basket of Milk Bath Fizzers
Ingredients Needed:
1. Baking Soda (1/2 Cup): This can be found at any grocery store.
2. Citric Acid (1/4 Cup): This can be found at many grocery stores or at candy-making supply stores.
3. Powdered Milk (1 Tbsp + 1 tsp): This is found at most grocery stores. Use low-fat or skim milk powder if possible.
4. Cornstarch (1 Tbsp): Found at most grocery stores.
5. Jojoba Oil (1 Tbsp): This natural liquid wax closely mimics the skin's own oils and can help moisturize the skin.
6. Water (1 tsp)
7. Essential Oils (20-30 drops): These not only give your bath fizzers their own unique scent, but they also add to your bath the benefits of the essential oil you choose.
Instructions:
1. Mix together 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup citric acid, 1 Tbsp powdered milk, and 1 Tbsp cornstarch thoroughly in a glass bowl.
2. In a small glass bowl, mix together 1 tsp powdered milk, 1 tsp water, 1 Tbsp jojoba oil, and 25-35 drops of your chosen essential oil or blend.
3. Drizzle the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients, and use a fork or pastry blender to cut the liquid into the mixture until the mixture resembles fine crumbs and packs together when pressed.
4. Pack the mixture tightly into your desired molds (for the shape above, I used a tiny glass bowl for the mold, but you can also use measuring cups, measuring spoons, candy/soap molds, cookie cutters, or whatever else you desire). Once the mixture is packed into the mold, carefully invert the mold over a cookie sheet or plate, and carefully remove the fizzer (you may need to tap the edge of the mold slightly on the cookie sheet or plate to get the fizzer to release).
5. Allow the fizzer to dry overnight (possibly longer for larger fizzers or less time for smaller fizzers).
6. Wrap any fizzers not being used right away in plastic wrap or foil, and store them in a cool location.
7. To use the fizzer, simply fill your tub with warm bathwater, and drop your fizzer into the water. Relax and enjoy your bath!
