Lyme Disease Awareness Shop

This last year there were a couple protests. One in front of the White House to try to get the President's attention. Another was in front of the Bostong Conference Center to get the attention of the doctors at the Annual IDSA Conference. More are being planned this coming year. It gives "Go Green" a different meaning!

I have been lucky to be able to help in four Lyme Disease walks so far. It is a great way to raise awareness. It also helps support groups raise money to be able to buy educational materials and hand them out to schools, and to the public. Usually these are done in crowded parks or on paths where the public will see us all in our lime green shirts and you can hand out materials. Usually each walk will have t shirts for the walkers but you might want to add some lime green accessories to your outfit!

Another great way to spread awareness and educate the public on Lyme Disease is to give "Under Our Skin" Showings. "Under Our Skin" is a documentary about Lyme Disease. It shows what a handful of Lyme Disease patients go through trying to get treatment. It also talks about the conspiracy behind Lyme Disease. The two sides, IDSA vs ILADS, and the two trains of throughts about how to treat patient with Lyme Disease.

In many states May has now been declared Lyme Awareness Month. Lymies everywhere tie up lime green ribbons around their town to bring awareness to Lyme Disease.
