Lyrical Impressions

We head to A Musical Carnival of the Animals. From the animals, Herman learns all about rhythm and movement and more. Suddenly his dreams of finding his singing voice seem more attainable. If lions and tigers and bears can sing, then why can't Herman? So, he dares to dream and his spirit begins to sing.

We spent a day learning the Best "one-rehearsal songs" for gospel choir. Easy learning and easy listening -- you should hear Herman singing straight from the depths of his soul! And, Herman may even share with you a recording of him singing the song of your choice (if you ask him in your best pleading voice).

Truer verse has never been sung than It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing). And we think nobody sings it better than Herman the Merman himself! Are ya listenin'?

Saturday afternoon was such a gorgeous day that we spent time in our back yard with Bird songs and birds voices - a guide. And the red, red, robin had Herman bob, bob, bobbin' along as he sang his very own song. The neighbors heard the sound of our music and joined in, too, and the entire neighborhood sang in perfect harmony, just like the Penguin Cafe Orchestra has been known to do.

Herman found out he can sing the most Soothing Lullaby Songs for Babies. He enjoyed the gentle sound of his own music so much that he spent a Sunday afternoon searching for a new home with a street address that would reflect his lyrical voice. Now all the Merman mothers in the neighborhood ask Herman to sing their children a bedtime story.

We planned a li'l back yard barbecue, inviting all of Herman's buddies. It seems every one of them was a music maker. All of a sudden Herman shouted, "Good Grief I'm Covered in Guitars!" No problem. As the good ole boys began strummin' their strings, Herman began to sing.

Herman the Merman was himself humbled by the discovery of the lyrical impressions his voice would sing that evening. Pure poetry. Forevermore.
