Mac-Tech1 / Your Mac, Your Battery. For MacBook and MacBook Pro users, to check the battery status hold down the alt key and select the battery icon on the top right of your screen this will add another item on the drop down menu. This item will tell you the condition of the battery. The battery is either "Normal", "Replace soon" or Replace now". To increase the time you get out of the battery try turing the brightness down of your screen, turning off your bluetooth and wireless when not needed.

2/ For all video editors, the use of the internal hard drives when editing video will slow the Mac down as it is trying to write video files to the drive already being used running the OS. Improve performance by using an external drive or second hard drive ( called a scratch disk) for only the video file. G- technology has fast reliable external drives for video editing, sound recording even on the go, G-RAIDS and G-RAIDS mini are some great drives to use. www.g-technology.com
