Macbeth
Many of us are introduced to Macbeth in High School, when we have a dozen things on our mind none of which include Shakespeare. Many bluff their way through the book by using online notes or the infamous book of Cliff Notes and we neverĀ gain an appreaciation for the story. To remedy that, I decided to create a series of indepth Lens one for each scene. This will be a gradual process and will contain all the multimedia I can find.At the end of each lens there will be a link to the next scene. If there fails to be a link that means I have not reached that scene yet.
Act 1 Scene 1
A desert place. Thunder and lightning.
Enter three Witches.
FIRST WITCH: When shall we three meet again?
In thunder, lightning, or in rain?
SECOND WITCH: When the hurlyburly's done,
When the battle's lost and won.
THIRD WITCH: That will be ere the set of sun.
FIRST WITCH: Where the place?
SECOND WITCH: Upon the heath.
THIRD WITCH: There to meet with Macbeth.
FIRST WITCH: I come, Graymalkin.
ALL: Paddock calls. Anon!
Fair is foul, and foul is fair.
Hover through the fog and filthy air.
Exeunt.
What Happened?
Don't understand all that "Shakespeare Speak"? Basically this is what happened.
.......Thunder and lightning crash above a Scottish moor. Three haggard old women, the witches, appear out of the storm. In eerie, chanting tones, they make plans to meet again upon the heath, after the battle, to confront Macbeth. As quickly as they arrive, they disappear.....
