Which is the Best Macbook for You?
They are both exceptional computers. The fact that they are both made by Apple Macintosh ensures that the quality of both Macbooks are amazing. Save yourself time as there is no need for worries or concerns of one being riddled with problems.
The question then becomes how should you choose between the two? What is a good method to deciding which one you will be most content with?
What it came down to for me in the end was personal preference and fitting my lifestyle. An example is are you a college student? Will you be using it for work the majority of time? Will it be your primary computer? These are a few of the questions to keep in mind when deciding between these two amazing Macbooks. To help in your decision here are some overviews on each of the notebooks, from both the technical and practical point of view.
Without further ado let's find out which one is better for you and get you your new Macbook Air or Macbook Pro.

Apple Macintosh
If you are reading this than it is probably safe to say you are already either a fan of Apple Mac computers or you are ready to make that change. If you are on the fence, all I can say is this; I love my Macs, yes that is plural. Here are just a few of my own personal reasons why:
-The ease of which I can get documents and projects done.
-New programs and updates install easily and quickly.
-No worry or concern of viruses or the requirement of buying added extra protection every year.
-Amazing customer service and care.
Before I became a "Mac", I used to find it odd how much people love their Macs, now I understand.
This past year I realized I was in need of a notebook, being tied to a desk all the time is not convenient and when traveling it was beyond frustrating. I originally new more about the Pro model than the Air model; however, the Air intrigued me and I set out to learn more.
I soon came to realize that while there are technical differences between the two there were not any that stood out like a sore thumb, at least for me anyway. That is when I decided to look at the broader picture of which one would work best for me, I eventually choose the Macbook Air.

A Writer
I can confidently say I LOVE my Macbook Air. It is so light, convenient, sleek and sexy. I know most don't think of their computers as sleek and sexy but you just cannot help it when it comes to this beauty. For me, I do a lot of writing and researching on my Macbook Air. I decided on the Air over the Pro because of a couple of factors:
It is so light and compact. I often take my Macbook Air with me places and it makes it incredibly convenient that it is so light. Also when traveling it is a gem, it takes up little space in your carry on.
The fact that the majority of applications and software are now directly downloadable the lack of a disk drive is not a problem for me, if I have to install software from a disk I can do it with my iMac using its sharing feature.
I was not looking for my Macbook to be my all in one, I wanted it more for daily everyday use. I opted for the 13" as I liked the bigger screen. As for projects and presentations I have done quite a few keynote presentations, video projects, and light voice over recording too on my Air without a problem. It fits perfectly into my lifestyle, what I use it for and a great daily Macbook.

A Bookkeeper, An Artist
A dear friend of mine was in the market for a new laptop. Of course I immediately set to work on explaining why she should go for a mac. I brought over my Macbook Air and the rest is history. She began her journey looking into both the Air and the Pro. We discussed what it was she was looking for and compared the two.In the end she went with the Macbook Pro. As a bookkeeper and artist she wanted both the functionality of a Macbook and its great programs for designing and photography. This was her first Mac, she desired it to be as close to a desktop as possible; capable of doing a lot of heavy lifting.
The need for the disc drive was important and a screen larger than the one on the Macbook Air. RAM and space was another factor for her as she wanted to be able to store some of her clients files in it. The Macbook Pro was definitely the way to go for her. It allows her to get her work done for her clients and work on any art projects.
She is really enjoying the ease in which she can create new documents and invoices for her clients, not to mention the fun she is having photo editing. Being new to Macs she is even enjoying the classes Apple offers to discover all the wonders of her new Macbook Pro.

I bought the Macbook Pro 13 laptop last year (as it was recommened to me by the dealer). I do a lot of traveling and it's a bit more durable and I like the DVD drive feature, too. My daughter made me some DVD's of her wedding and I like that I can bring her photos with me and play movies. Although I did buy an HP Desktop recently for home as I it has a bigger screen as I'm more familiar with Windows environment. Plus I still use my old desktop...OMG! LOL!
TravelingRae says:
17" Macbook Pro because I got an awesome deal on it and I prefer having a full computer that includes a DVD drive.
