We understand that a factory relocation is a major disruption for any business, so we ensure that down time is kept to an absolute minimum. We accomplish this through effective preparation and detailed planning procedures that are delivered efficiently by our passionate and fully committed team.

Our Transport Department works closely with the client to ensure our installation personnel gain an in-depth knowledge of each machine in their range. The service package includes the following elements:

- Collection of machine from distributor docks
- Receipt into Merritts Industrial Storage Facility
- Machine transport to customer site
- Machine lifting and positioning
- Levelling and securing prior to commission
- Assist manufacturer's engineers with assembly of machines and parts

Merritts also provide contract delivery services for suppliers of new machines and production equipment.

As a demonstration of our unparalleled loyalty, each client is assigned a Director level contact who will act as your account manager and will oversee all pricing, operational arrangements and will ensure that all projects are completed as planned.

Regards flexibility, Merritts machine movers are able to operate out of standard working hours and can accommodate night and shift working as well as weekends for any machine moves that are time and/or production sensitive.

The past five years has seen an investment of nearly £5m in state of the art crane lorry vehicles and machine installation equipment. We have been pleased to add two of the largest crane lorry trailers in the country within the last 18 months and we know that this investment will ensure that our company remains at the forefront of the machine transport & installation market.

During 2008, Merritts expanded our services to provide export packing and shipping services. We are now able to remove equipment from a customer site, transport to our warehouse facility and arrange for the equipment to be packed to any specification and shipped to any destination in the world.

Another arm to Merritts is our industrial storage and bonded warehouse division. Our extensive range of storage services allows us to provide clients with a bespoke service to fit with their individual businesses. All Merritts warehouses are controlled by a warehouse manager and dedicated admin team. All facilities have overhead craneage and are equipped with state of the art security solutions enabling us to provide storage for high value goods.

Successful project completion is achieved through the utilisation of our wide range of heavy lifting equipment which includes lorry mounted cranes, Versa lifts, Megalift jacking system and lift trucks. Through recent investment we have been able to enhance our fleet resources and warehousing space to ensure that our continually evolving company remains at the forefront of the machinery logistics market.
