Who are Maclaren
Maclaren Stroller was begun in 1965 by Owen Maclaren, a retired test pilot and aeronautical designer. He was also a grandfather who wanted to create a durable, safe, stylish buggy to transport babies.
Maclaren First Design
His first design was called the B-01. It was lightweight at six pounds and featured blue and white stripes with an aluminum frame. It had the distinction of being the first umbrella-fold baby buggy. Maclaren Stroller was not content to rest of its laurels.In 1976 the company introduced the "balloon" foam tyre which provided more cushioning and comfort to the stroller's design. In 1981, Maclaren Stroller became the first in the UK to produce strollers with front swivel wheels and linked brakes for safety. Since that time, Maclaren Stroller continues to be a leader and innovator in the stroller industry.
